NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti to be "available" on June 3rd, RTX 3070Ti on June 10th

I'm talking about availability of stock in the first place, not sales. From following stock alerts over the past few months, ones for the 3080 are fairly rare and ones for the 3060 Ti are almost non-existent (maybe a couple per week). That's compared to the 3060, 3070 and 3090, which show up multiple times almost every day. The two rarest cards also happen to be the ones that feature dies which could instead be used for more expensive models (the 3070 and 3090). I don't think that's a coincidence.

You're saying the 3080 is a "rare" card. On the shelves in retail to buy, yes it is. You're not factoring in the cards that are manufactured and go straight to service the worldwide queues.

From figures published by Gibbo, the ratio of cards shipped is about 2 to 1, 3080 to 3090, so not as rare you think.

I do agree about the 3060 Ti, rocking horse **** is easier to get hold of.

Doesn't that just prove no one wants an AMD card? 6900XT are still in stock on here if it was a 3090 they would be gone in seconds :p

Warranty is an issue as well, 2 years is pish.

And if those were 3090s for £1500 they would only be £100 over Msrp, instead of 2x the msrp. The mba 6900xt is around msrp £850, so £1500 is close enough to 2x the cost.

Not sure why they have 1 year more, most sites that have that card listed are saying 2 years.

They don’t even have that type of warranty on the 6900xt strix LC card on other sites which is odd.
