I think the wormhole near Saturn and the tesseract were created by the same individuals aka us in the future. When the tesseract dismantled he fell out of the wormhole near Saturn in the present, but many years had passed because of the time slippage. Saturn station had been constructed and that's how the rangers found him.Cooper ends up at a space station, straight after leaving the Tesseract. After being found by space rangers, that sequence of events left me a bit puzzled. Space is a big place, exponentially bigger than your needle in a haystack. Drifting in space with only oxygen from his suit.
The main reason I rewatched the movie was because I came across a theory suggesting that Cooper was actually dead from the beginning. According to this theory, the dream he had at the start was real, and everything else was just his imagination.
I have that ready to watch over the weekend along with the substance. I figured tonight i'd watch the new venom filmHeretic 7/10
Good performances from all the leads. Hugh Grant is outstanding and extremely creepy. One of the best horror films I've seen in a while.
I'm just in the mood for some brainless fun, and it kind of came down to a choice of venom or a fast and the furious film (I still haven't watched the last one)Venom - Last Stand. Well i enjoed it at least. Better than 2. Lots of plot holes but it was just fun. Not sure where they are going with the after credits thing but ive enjoyed the Tom and Venom double act. 7/10
The substance is pretty good too. Just the final act that lets it down a bit in my opinion. Would have been another 7/10 otherwise.I have that ready to watch over the weekend along with the substance. I figured tonight i'd watch the new venom film
I got a similar impression from my viewing last night. It would have benefitted from being produced as a series to cater toward more character depth and world building. It reminded me of The Wheel of Time in terms of its presentation.Mortal Engines - 6/10
Odd film, but enough to keep me engaged in it. Clearly must have cut a lot from the book as there seemed to be hints of a bit of deeper story.
The Foreigner, Jackie Chan takes on the IRA. Not bad at all. 7/10
I was considering watching this. Haven't seen the trailer or anything, just read the description. I dunno why but I thought it might be a bit like Speak no Evil, which I really enjoyed.Heretic 6.5/10
Interesting start and thought all 3 actors were good but it kind of lost it's way and thought the final act was pretty boring.
I mean tbh, that sums up a large reason I was gonna watch it in a sentence, albeit i've not seen any hype, it just popped up on some websites the other day!I feel like most of the hype is just because Hugh Grant is in it and he isn't usually in this sort of film.
OK, I'll give it a reprieve and watch it soon. I don't watch many horror films tbh, but i've seen my fair share of films that are great for about 2/3rds and then the ending doesn't go the way I expected/hoped etc.I quite like horror films, and I've probably watched more than my fair share of not particularly good ones (like the Saw marathon I did earlier this year lol). It's definitely not bad, I think the feel of unease in the first half is well done and I like the evil Jonathan Creek feel of Grant's character. Just felt the resolution was very 'oh crap how do we finish this"
Now I watched The Descent last night having not seen that for ages, now that is a class film throughout.
Love Actually: -10/10
I hate this insufferable movie. Others feel it is one of the greatest Xmas movies ever. Go figure.
