**Official Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Discussion Thread**

Not sure, but whether I'm using my MSI Z77 MPower using Realtek Controller, or my previous Gigabyte Z77 UD5H, it would take a good minute or so to connect, it's never kinda instant. Not got my Gigabyte Z77X-UP5 TH setup to check that yet - uses Intel Controller also.

Probally sounds daft, but have you left it a few minutes after the initial boot, see if it eventually detects?

Are you using any virus protection? I know for a fact my Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 slows the process down.

This may help, guess you probally already googled the error code >> http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/code-10-error.htm

EDIT: All Windows updates done? Also updated the Bios? Make sure the Intel Lan is enabled in the BIOS? It's possible it could be a bug with an old Bios failing to initialise the controller on cold boot...

Just got myself one of these boards. I did originally have a UP4 TH but it turned out to be faulty after running it for a couple of days & sent it back and was told that a replacement would be sent out to me, then the next day the company (not OcUK) told me they had ran out of stock of them! So instead, they asked if I wanted this board at no extra cost and so I agreed. I would have requested a refund instead but I couldn't be bothered with hanging around waiting for the refund as a new board was needed ASAP.

So far, I really like it and I have managed to just about OC it to 4.4Ghz on my 2500k. However, I'm not too clued up with overclocking on these new Gigabyte boards (used to have an MSI) so could someone possibly give me some tips on getting my settings right? The only thing that I have changed in the BIOS to get it to 4.4Ghz is the multiplier set to x44, vcore set to 1.320v (1.31v is still being tested for stability), turbo boost disabled, all the power saving options enabled (C1E, C3/C6, CPU thermal monitor & EIST) & RAM's XMP is enabled with the vcore manually set to 1.5v.

Secondly, despite having these power features set to enabled, the vcore will not lower when the machine is idle. The CPU will lower from 4.4Ghz to 1.6Ghz as it should but the vcore always remains at 1.308v (and lowers to 1.296v when stress testing in prime  ) The BIOS is currently running on version F14.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks - Liam

Slightly off topic but I've noticed with my Z77X-UD5H since installing it in my rig a few days ago that when using the Intel LAN, the internet does not work very well at all, very intermittent - it always connects to my router though and I have the latest drivers installed. For now I've reverted to using the Atheros LAN which works fine. Possibly a driver issue?

You need to update the NVRAM of the intel lan

Its done via command prompt and takes a few seconds.

I did it myself the other day and it fixed this running windows 8, but I cant remember the link sorry guys.

Heres the readme

82579VSKU.exe Version 1.2.2

Tool to update the NVRAM for the Intel® 82579V Gigabit Ethernet PHY
Copyright (C) 2012 Intel Corporation

Three tools are included, to support three different operation systems (Windows 32 bit; Windows 64 bit; DOS).

Steps to run the update tool:

1. Download the utility from the Intel download center
2. Select the correct tool file name based on the operating system installed
3. Open a command prompt window with administrator privileges
4. Run the executable file from the common prompt
5. The NVM image will be updated. Reboot the computer for best results.

Usage: [Tool_file_name] [options]
-log [filename] - generate log info
-report [filename] - generate report file
-nosilent - display the user interface

Example command line using the Windows* 64 bit operating system:
82579VSKUW64e -nosilent
