I prefer to wait for final bios version release on gigabyte site
That's okay, don't be a beta tester and help contribute to finding any issues for the whole community. I didn't make this thread soley for your benefit you know. :p

Hey guys,

I was thinking of buying is board to replace my old 2009 system.

I see they some people have had trouble with the USB and LAN. Is this all fixed now?

Hey guys, I have the WIfi version of this board and was wondering if anyone knows why the wifi card comes with an internal usb lead and port and if its needed.

Mines been running fine without it

Also, in all my years of flashing bios' I've never used a beta. How stable are they? As stable as using nvidia beta drivers?
I'm on f14 at the moment, worth flashing?

Betas are worth testing out - if you are aware that they fix an issue you are experiencing.
However they can also bring a set of issues to your system that you never had before, hence they are a beta.

Testing one beta release for my Z77 D3H resulted in a board failure where the backup bios had to be invoked and the primary bios had to be re-flashed with a working one. This caused me quite an issue until the method to boot to the secondary bios was known and then tried. It also caused the same issue for a number of other people who tried that beta bios out before it was pulled.

So there are risks and you have to consider what advantages there are in flashing a beta bios to an otherwise stable board.

Will this board ever stop being a problem!!!

Overclocking is great ! But the USB`s are bad!!! I have fixed my lockup but now I have USB power surge error every so often!!!
OOO now am scared!!! Power surge from USB now I have seen it all!!! :p

Board is a pain from my experience, too many stupid problems related to the USB!! If that was fixed great board but otherwise a pain in the neck!!! :(

I have seen this, once.

A re-install nuked it and it never repeated itself.

Settings below are what I saw for the Gigabyte Z77X-UP7, but the slew settings were also introduced in F15k beta BIOS onwards, for the Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H, as well as other Gigabyte motherboards.

Try the settings below for the ram you have, should help with overclocks.

Here are the new settings and what seems to be the best for different types of modules:

Start with level 2 and then increase for different levels of stability and such for samsung and PCS, samsung will for instance give you instance 51 on level 1 if you go too higher over XMP multiplier, but change to level 2 and it will not 51 and it will boot.

Someone in Poland received a revision 1.1 Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H, not listed on Gigabyte website as yet, apprarently one of the updates is a newer Atheros Nic.

Hi all,

I know this is the UD5H thread, but I'm having an issue with my UD3H board.

Trying to install a sound card (Asus Xonar DGX) in the first/highest x1 PCI-E slot, but when I have it slotted in I lose picture. I've tried via DVI and HDMI on both the motherboard's and GPU's connection, but just cannot get a picture at all. Once I remove the sound card everything returns to normal and I get a picture through all connections.

My GPU is in the first/highest x16 slot and also uses the x1 slot beneath it. Not sure what's going on so does anyone have any ideas? Is it a simple setting in the bios I need to change or does it sound like a dodgy sound card or even x1 PCI-E slot on the board?

Anyone have any ideas before I start processing a return?
