**Official Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Discussion Thread**

I'm looking at getting one of these boards for a new build I'm planning soon. Just had a look on Gigabytes site and noticed they have a (rev. 1.1) listed, with the only difference I can see being an 8-pin ATX rather than a 4-pin.

What difference does the 8 -pin make over the 4-pin? Does anyone know which version OcUK sell? It shows the specs of the rev 1 on their store page, but this could just be out of date.

Thanks and sorry if this is a stupid question or has been asked before :o.

EDIT: Lmao, its not even this motherboard. The one I'm looking at getting is the Z77X-D3H. Sorry guys. Anyone know the answer anyway now you have read to here :p

The Z77X-D3H overclocks well, the UD5H takes it just higher again and includes more USB/SATA ports, much better audio chip.

The UP4 TH could also be worth a look, its a bit cheaper than the UD5H but has the all singing dancing IR3550 power stages.

I have just purchased a UD5H to go with a i5 3570k IB and should be arriving tomorrow.

Not sure I have the time to read all of the posts in this thread but was just wondering if there were any tips in setting the board up now people have had chance to use it.

Depending on what BIOS the board comes with I have already downloaded the newest BIOS which I believe is F14.

I am really looking forward to it, especially the UEFI as I have not tinkered with that yet.

Any advise would be great :D

Ok I'm having a bit of a nightmare with this board and overclocking it.

I can manage to get the BIOS to read my overclock at 4.0GHz however when I go into Windows 7 I cant get the overclock to show in CPUZ.

CPUZ just shows it still at 3.40GHz. I have ran Prime95 to see if that would get it going but it still stays at 3.40GHz.

I have turned off Turbo and all C1E/Speedstepping stuff

Any ideas?

using latest cpu-z? could be a bug? esp with win8

I've used the latest version of cpuz and an older one but theres no difference.

This problem is only showing on Windows 7 and Windows 8 its fine.

Another odd thing is my 3570K cpu is only scoring 7.5 in Windows Experience, very odd as I have it at 4.2Ghz so should defo be 7.9.
