Actually, I think we've all just realised (well most of us :p) that we were right all along and that 10GB is not enough for 4K max settings without FPS drops to single digits in FC6. :D

Nothing has changed. What I said nearly two years ago when this thread was created holds true. 10GB will be fine by the time next gen cards come out apart from a handful of games. In the end there was even less than I thought and the only one worth somewhat talking about was an AMD sponsored game that is not even anything special that you keep clinging to :cry:

Because denial is not just a river in Africa. FC6 gate was the only thing that kept this thread interesting. It would have only been a dozen pages long if it was not for that keeping it going. :cry:

Thanks to Tommy, Gerard and later Bill it looks like the horse has bolted now. Until a new game comes out, then the merry go round can start again. :p

The problem is people keep saying I'm denying it happening yet I'm not, can't really deny it other people experience issues. I'm just saying I don't get the same issue as shown in my footage, that and showing that people are also getting fps drops on 3090s along with all the other weird behaviour shows it's not just simply a case of "not enough vram and nothing else", using the same logic, we could then say that "all" 3090s are getting fps drops too since we have several owners stating it on ubi forums and here too :cry: :D

Oh would you look at that, I'm back on the merry go round! :D

I haven't said that there's nothing else. I noted a separate issue, which I belive to be separate from vram limitations.

This does not mean that the vram is enough for this particular circumstance. 10gb is enough generally. It is not here. This is the crux of the thread.

The frame rate drops imply the existence of other bugs which, with ubisoft, I will not dismiss.

If what I am describing is happening on cards with 24gb of ram, this points MORE towards vram not being the issue.

This. Is. A. Separate. Issue.

I'm not referring to you and your posts ;) Just the one(s) with an axe to grind :p :D

But yes when I linked the posts from those people with 3090s (I can't recall if fps were mentioned, just mentioned about fps drops and stutters in gameplay), apparently it was a "system/local issue" then.... :cry: When looking at those performance threads, it seems to mainly be nvidia owners experiencing issues, in an amd sponsored title *dons tinfoil hat now*..... :D

Sorry, my last point was written that way to try and clarify my point that I believed the two issues (vram limit and 3090 issues) were separate, not to have a go. Reading that back, looked a bit arsey.

Problem is if you have people with 3090s also experiencing the same then it shows that there is something going on outside of "not having enough vram" given a 3090 has 24gb vram..... Then if it becomes a thing which is only happening with nvidia gpus and not amd gpus, that's a whole other can of worms :D Nvidia PhysX/gameworks days anyone ;)
