Has a 20 x turbo multi so I think I should get 215 x 20 out of it.
These things are so refreshing from the original 920's I had near 100 degrees back in the day.
It will turbo upto 22 mult, got one myself, can squeeze 4.2 out of it turbo mode takes it to 4.5- 4.6iish iirc
Mines back at 205 blck atm as i didnt really need any faster and was able to drop volts some. Nice chip just pity we cant lock the mult at 22
I have it in a Ramp III at the mo and the max fixed I can go is 20, think if I leave it at "auto" it will turbo?
That said I have a UD7 and a P6X58D spare here so I have alternatives.
Welcome to the forums!
Glad to hear that your upgrade has gone so well... 4.51 is an amazine overclock for daily use. I guess 1.42v would be manageable with a good water setup... just keep an eye on the temps and don't benchmark for days on end! Not sure that I would be comfortable with 1.55v though!
However, at the end of day, you should ask yourself how comfortable you are with the risk and consequences. Back when this was a £600 processor, a cautious approach may have been more prevalent; whereas now, a fried processor will set you back £60... if this is acceptable, then go for the huge overclock!
Can anyone predict the next Xeon to appear like this one? I mean, what motherboard should I look to acquire to snag a powerful and cheap compatible Xeon? Or perhaps this was a one off.

I have a i7 920 at that mainly runs at stock but can clock to 3.6ghz, I only have a 570gtx on 1440p, is it worth upgrading to one of these for gaming or stick to my i7 920. I plan on getting a 970 gpu.
More games are making use of cores like GTA 5 and so will windows 10 as well.
Please don't try and mislead people, here are reputable benchmarks for GTA5:
I think Dave is pointing to the 5960X being only a frame ahead of the 4770K, despite it having (perhaps two or more?) cores.
