1day Acuvue me a car for £6k ish

You can 'facelift' the car yourself if you end up buying it. £300 for the front headlights, £160 for the rear lights.

Then get a nice Sport pack fitted for a grand. Bingo, could easily be £20k worth of 03 540i to most unsuspecting individuals :)
 
Lovely car

Chap is going to call me tomorrow with a rough price for mine and as long as it's not too daft I'll arrange for a longer test drive in the daytime - will get a chance to properly look at the exterior as well

The interior was immaculate ( apart from the little gap that Desmo mentioned ) the cream leather didn't have a mark on it and the carpet looked like new

The room in there is amazing !! .. I think even MB could sit in the back and be comfortable !!

I was a little concerned that I would feel a little " lost " behind the wheel given my size but I very quickly got the seat in a comfortable position :)

All in all it will probably cost the same per year to run ( insurance , servicing etc ) but she WILL get used on a regular basis running back and more down the M4 whereas Dexy now only gets used twice a week me going to the Gym and back which is about 5 mins away :p

Me = VERY impressed :cool:

Fox,

what is the missing part in between the front seats? It's missing below the air vents in the rear, with the cubby hole on top. Something easily replacable?

Cup holders eh? Should be able to get some parts to replace that. If not then I'll just cut some plastic down to match and pop that in. Would look better than a hole sitting there.

Go retro and install a mug tree. :D

I'm now currently undecided 'twixt 5 and 3 series should I end up getting the BMW. I love the look of the coupe but the 5 appears to be more car for less money and lower miles. I guess I'll leave the decision until I have the cash. :)
 
Soon to be another proud 5 series owner :D if you need any help with upgrading the lights etc let me know, as I just done them all on mine.

Hopefully I'll get a sensible deal on my Dexy today and we can start the ball rolling :)

Just checking some more info. Am I right in saying the standard wheels are 16's with a 225/55 tyre?
