This is terrifying!

if Gordon Brown is nothing at least he is honest and lets be frank, any government would have struggled recently with the economic climate, eu influences etc etc!!!!!!!

honest, you must be joking this is the guy that went before the Iraq war committee and lied about giving the troops all the stuff they needed

The only time hes honest is when he forgets the mic is still on.

I guess you don't have to pay an electric bill, gas bill, water bill, use public transport etc?
Ah, privitisation! It was a good thing, look at how much tax money the NHS wastes in excessive bureaucracy, it'd only be the same in the services and transport industry if they were still nationalised.

The only "problem" is that these private companies need to make a profit for their shareholders so prices are higher, this isn't a bad thing. If it is a problem for you buy shares in the companies and then you'll be one of the shareholders who benefit from the profits through dividends. I don't see why a country should spend tax money on subsidising things so poorer people can afford them. Like Thatcher said in one of her speeches "if a man will not work he shall not eat", if you don't have enough money pull your finger out, educate yourself, work harder and make more money.

Unfortunately a lot of socialists would prefer the rich to be poorer, than the poor to be richer :(.
