---2012 Nexus Phone facts/rumours/info thread---

looking forward to this if true.

If Asus and Google could get their collective act together with the nexus 7 and the screen lift problem, that Samsung effort would have to be in incredibly aggressively priced to actually sway people from the value present in the nexus 7

LG Nexus 4 confirmed by LG Head of Mobile Product Planning

Amit Gujral also shed some light on the specs of the device, confirming it will have a 4.7" 1280 x 768 display, 2GB of RAM, a quad-core CPU with each core clocked at 1.5 GHz (rumors point at an S4 Pro chipset), an 8 MP snapper and 8 GB to 16 GB of storage excluding a microSD card slot. Finally the device will run Android 4.2. So, it seems the rumors surrounding the Nexus 4 were spot on.

So only 8 and 16GB versions available. Who knows, Google and LG might release a 32GB version later on to replace the 16Gb version like they did with the nexus 7 32GB and 16GB........

Please let the audio and camera be as good as the one S, if not better!

i could live with 16gb.. but the 5" screen on the new htc is just too tempting.. i do love the stock android from google, but i feel like i want something right between the note 2 and s3 in terms of size! :o

Likewise but the lack of support/priority from HTC for the one S and X is disappointing so far and has put me of their products somewhat now (they use to be great and the best and they are also releasing way too many android phones now, which means the one S/X will get even less attention), shame as I love their phones design/build, hardware and sense compared to the likes of Samsung, SE, motorola etc.

The only thing I don't like about the LG so far is the back and the bezel looking bigger than ever as well as not being more curvy and having an aluminium uni-body instead (no phone can compete with how comfy and good the S feels in one hand :p)! But will have to wait until I can see/hold one for myself.

:( I'm not sure if 16 is enough or not. How much of that do we think will be actually usable?

About 13-14GB

Also the battery won't be removable.

TBH though, what else can they do? They have the best hardware there is, one of the best screens, some have said that it is better than the X and iphone 5 screen, although some say it isn't as good as them, will have to wait and see more proper reviews.

The only things left that we don't know about is the audio, battery life and camera. Although apparently the LG optimus G is very good at all of those areas, maybe not as good as the GS 3, one S/X for camera and audio though.......

They should have changed the design a bit (or at least have changed the back design and tried to have made the bezel at the bottom and top a bit thinner), but I have a funny feeling they will be doing an apple move and keeping all future nexus designs roughly the same from now on. And of course had a 32GB model.

I wonder what the prices will be like, guessing around £450 for the 8GB model (sim free) and around £500 for the 16GB model (sim free).

Maybe this is wishful thinking but I read the memory bit as being 8gb or 16gb excluding what is added via micro SD. Not 8gb or 16gb and excluding a micro SD slot.

Definitely wishful thinking there snax! :p

If there was a SD slot, he would have said "8 and 16GB including a SD slot" or something like that :p
