no other cards in the motherboard, ive not checked the lane speed. I dont know a great deal about computers im learning as i go.According to that it’s running at x8, 3.0. Not 16x 4.0. Do you have other PCIE cards installed? Have you checked the BIOS lane speed?

Fair enough. In windows click start, type cmd and run as admin. Type shutdown /r /fwno other cards in the motherboard, ive not checked the lane speed. I dont know a great deal about computers im learning as i go.

If the 4080 is the only PCIE card in use, then it should be x16. Do you have multiple NVME drives as they could reduce your bandwidth to x8 but then it would have on the 3090 too.So it should be running on 8x?
