580 GTX Price is up....

They are on the way, lots of them, but overall in the UK there will be very little stock! :)

Also pricing yet to be confirmed, should be well under £500 though :)

But it will obviously be more expensive than a 480 simply because its a damn site faster, its not just a speed bump. ;)

Well if thats the case im sticking to the £500 estimate. Low stock tends to bring about these magical price rises or should we say "early adopter tax". :p

Oh no, you've just broken the speculations. What a shame, we all wished to be smart and know better

15-20% increase over a 480.. with a 30% price increase

nvidia normaly keep there top card around the £350 region yet this will be over £100 more than that, thats without getting all the fancy overclocked and watercooled premium ones

From the Rumoured Specs ive seen on the 580, i cant justify buying one over the 480 as i cant see there being a massive difference imo.

well is not a definitive figure, to some folks £480 is well under £500, others consider £415 to be well under, lol I reckon it'll be closer to the former

oh sorry, word on the street is that they'll be around £485 ish

sorted

If 1000mhz on core is true that is pretty impressive, but not the potential price.

If people started to think logically they would already have figured out that both GTX580 and HD6970 are rumoured to be around 15-20% faster than GTX480. I don't really want to speculate which will wear the performance crown but if my assumptions are correct, HD6870 will cost no more than £320. I can't see anyone buying a presumably similarly performing card for almost £200 more.

No they don't! Nvidia top single GPU king has always been >£400 at launch for god know how many generations

id have kept that quiet myself :/

lol :D

I have had them for 6 months (since launch) and have got my moneys worth out of them and will continue to do so for a good while. :)

Over the years I have always spent over £400 on the top end card and I have never regretted it.
