8 Packs 4ghz 32m Challenge win full Haswell 4770K Bundle.

Some 2400mhz memory would be nice. But unfortunately ive blown way too much cash on a new cpu and a second 670 lately. Need to get some more overtime in.:D

Just did my first run at 4GHz with pretty much stock RAM and managed a 8m 38, I'll read up and have a tweak to see if I can get sub 8m 30s :) If I manage that I'll be happy

I will try though I'm fairly sure anything other than xmp timings spat the dummy out, xmp 2133 timings are near enough the same as the 2400 xmp. I have since installed a bios with better memory support so things may be a little better :)

Decent dimms, ugly as sin :p

That top score is complete bull.
In case anyone is wondering, this is not a submission in the 4Ghz challenge.

I just run a 2700k with very similar memory timings and to do 32M in 7.45 you have to run at 4.5GhZ.
edit: actually my timings are better and still 3 seconds shy so maybe an even higher clock was used.

yeah ive seen those,is it the ones with the black heatspreaders? do they run well?

Nope it is Kingston KHX24C11T2K2/8X, it was cheap a while ago. But yeh they run the rated 2400mhz fine, just select the profile and thats it, ran fine since day 1 :)

Anyway I really don't get this, I have tried a few things, my best so far being 8m 9.877s:

Which is 2400mhz 11-12-11-30 and then:

814.JPG

Which was 1932 mhz but 8-10-9-24 1t which gave 8min 14.00 seconds
Monstermoshi did 1866mhz and 11-10-10-28 2t which gave him 7m 45.146s

So I really don't know how monstermoshi managed that time? Anyone?

Idk,I'm baffled too,I tried everything aswell, all I can put it down to is very good BIOS support for that ram/mb combo, till I getsum to try myself Idk

Lmao its funny tho
