8 Packs 4ghz 32m Challenge win full Haswell 4770K Bundle.

Managed to get 7.36.5, but CPU-Z seems to have stopped reporting the memory speed, and is reporting CPU speed as 3532Mhz no matter the clocks. Tried reinstalling but no luck.

It's one thing after the other!

Don't make me break out XP :p

You're blatantly going to anyway so... :p

Honestly, not seen much real world improvement with it so far though. The improvement was from the new beta BIOS, it let me boot with higher memory clocks... XP is stripped about as bare as it can go as well. I may try a stripped win 7 instead.

What ram are you running shadow? With my old 3570k at 4.5ghz and samsung green at 2133 mhz 9-10-10-21 96 trfc, i hit 7m 24s. Shows how much of an improvement haswell is in this. 3570k was a nice chip but not a vast improvement over my old i7 920 at 4.2ghz, particularly with sli'd gpu's. 3770k is a whole different matter, even at stock the difference is very noticeable in games.

Got them at 2222MHz 9-10-10-19-1T 86. Have booted into windows with tighter timings but getting errors in superpi.

Very nice, what sort of dram voltage for that? Iirc, mine was at 1.575. Ive yet to test with the new cpu.

Ive read, 1.7v max on air cooling with the sammy greens, ive thought about sticking an antec spot cool next to mine. But gotta get my head round clocking the cpu first.

Okay, new version of XP. Slightly less stripped. CPU-z reporting correctly (for now!).

Seeing some improvements... more that I can boot more reliably into windows, and the F6e BIOS is more reliable. Actually seeing errors in pi when I push too hard, rather than failing to load windows.

Still, definitely a second or two faster than equivalent settings in full win 7. Still think a stripped win 7 might be worth looking into.

Still not reached 7.30 yet though...

Win XP has been the dagger in my side for the past few days. Constant boot fails.

Stulid your sticks run alright at the 1.7v? Know they are rated for 1.6 but if i can push them to 1.7 or 1.65 might shave a few milliseconds off.

I only use/used 1.7V for this competition, 24/7 use is the XMP 2400MHz profile.
