Looks like you guys are pulling out all the stops.

Can anyone topple PCZ though?

I haven't had a chance to do any further tweaking so it's looks like he's got me beat :(

Wow amazing times guys! Been on holiday for the last couple of weeks and this was the best I could manage on my Sammy Greens on Windows 7 Home Premium. If I wasn't going away might've been tempted with getting some decent RAM and installing a stripped down Windows XP. Good luck guys!

Wow

Very nice PCZ, I can see this challenge going down to the wire.

Amazing score PCZ!!! well done - I've now officially given up ;) had a real hectic couple of days so going to go an watch a movie instead - all the best to those still participating!!! - I will still add a score for my Ivybridge rig at some point but will never match any of these incredible scores!!!

Final time for me: Quite pleased with what I've managed to squeeze out right at the end :)

Don't think I can get any more out of the system.

Well done Duff. Pulled one out right at the death!

I did! :D Must have done 10 runs with tRFC at 102, and they all failed. Last run I had time for before the deadline finally went through :) I already had a 7:21 time though, so in hindsight it seems that would have been enough.

Been fun tweaking... At a fixed CPU clockspeed there seems to be as much if not more to gain by OS and copy-waza tweaks than memory tweaks.

What waza were you guys using? I ended up using a 768mb+512mb manual copy, with a 25s wait before engaging pi.

I tried alsorts of stuff that didn't help... Closing explorer, closing svc host, RAM drive. None of them seemed to help. A well set up copy waza is worth a good 4-5 seconds though...

edit: Using the 125Mhz stepping also gained me a couple of seconds. Took a fair amount of extra chipset voltage, but it was worth it.

Thanks guys :D

Honestly didn't think I'd get under 7:25. But then, I've always been a bit of a pessimist :p

Shadow boxer, if your time was without any copy waza then it's really very impressive!
