And as expected, someone with a Haswell system won. Ridiculous.

Congrats though Duff Man :D

I'll look out for an i7 4770K, Z87 motherboard, and some Corsair 2133MHz RAM on the MM in the next few days ;)

Well something good came out of this for me.
Now put my rig back to its previous settings 3770K@5GHz
But now that I have a better knowledge of my Samsung Greens and the voltages I'm able to run at 2133 C9 (was at 1866) with all 4 sticks which is quite an improvement.

Congratulations to all that took part. It was fun and I feel I learnt a lot. Don't think I really optimised windows and now all this talk of copy-wazza, which I did not know about, makes me think I could have done better, but I was more interested in the hardware aspect tbh.

Wazza and the various other OS tweaks made a huge difference to my times.

I started with a stripped xp install with large system cache enabled, max mem and every process possible killed and was running 16:49.xxx

All kept the same but with wazza bought my time down to 16:44.000

I then managed to lose almost another 3 seconds with slightly tighter sub timings and a ram disk.

The most important part is a lot of people have learn a lot about memory overclocking, myself included. Although the hardware would have made a nice upgrade from a Phenom II I'm happy to come away with second place for AMD systems and the extra knowledge I've gained

Well done Duff Man, nice play on the last minute submission.

My PC's will be grateful it's over, I think they were about to report me to the UN for torture. :D

Great work Duff Man and to all who entered the comp. Many really good submissions and some great system tweaking going on which was what the comp was geared towards making your system efficient for the mhz.

Top Dog great Ivy work with DIMMS on Air.

Some amazing commitment to AMD and getting the best out of your systems on a bench that does not favour AMD at all!!!

Duff Man I will PM you tomorrow AM about the prize when I get back into work. Now to think about the next comp hmmmmmmmmm!!!
