ADSL Max Question?

Installed the Voyager 220v but there is no actual "Connection Speed" in the router settings that i can see.
Using Znet speedtest and testmy to check speeds i have been getting speeds of between 3 and 5 Mbps.
Whats the best way to view your actual connection speed please, would have thought it would have been included in the software for the router :confused:

Leave it, the one it hits at the bottom will be your stable speed.

i migrated from f2s to evolution on the 12th. i turned the router off on the 11th with the new user/password entered. i then turned it on today (no one was at home to turn it on yesterday) synced at 8128kbps and has stayed like that. however only getting 2mb dl speeds!

its been connected for over 3 hrs with out any problems, apart from the speed. i thought turning the router off while the migration/upgrade went through eliminated this problem!?

do i just have to wait 3 days now then?

Lets see how long the old DG834 can hold an 8mbps connection

ive got a similar problem

router says this:

448 Kbps Upstream, 6368 Kbps Downstream

but im still getting 2mb speeds :confused:

Max was enabled on tuesday surely it should be fast by now?

It's a known problem, speed should pick up after 3 days, and should be working properley by the end of 10 days. Nothing to do with your ISP it's BT.

If after the 10 days you are still getting 2MB throughput then phone your ISP.

Had to swap my netopia router for a draytek, since the netopia wouldnt sync, kept going into learning mode all the time.
The draytek has synced at 6.4mb by my speeds are terrible, less than a 512K line.
Hopefully the 3 day thing will do its stuff and give me a decent connection.
Got a DG834 coming to replace the netopia.

Just to confirm, it did take a bit longer than 72hrs for my speed to pick up, but it has now. I was locked at 240k/sec download for over 3 days after moving to max, but now I get 840k/sec.

So just be patient folks

You're with Nilly aren't you Hangtime, what do you sync at as I was told I was getting 6mbps but still sync at 8mbps?

Im with Nilly and leaving the router over night, getting a synch speed on the router of 5.5mb but downloading at 4.0mb. Hopefully might get the missing 1mb back in the next day or two.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but looks like eclipse have got a regrade option now. Though tried the regrade link after logging in, but got an internal error bah!
Anyone else managed to get it too work?

Got a page further and give me option to accept terms & conditions, soon as I click Confirm I get another An error has occured
I'll keep trying!

Which option did you go for?

I went for Evolution Option 3 purely for the higher priority, might downgrade if there isn't a lot of difference between peak speeds as I doubt I could get close to any of the limits if I tried!
