Most TTs in scotland are done under ScottishCycling so the rules are different from CTT races.
I think it'll soon all move over to CTT though. CTT have a region setup for scotland now and there's a few (15ish) TTs planned in scotland next year. None near me+xdcx though.

I think I have a copy of the handbook if you want xdcx? No events up this way next year though so it probably isnt of that much interest?

The only course last year was the Glasgow course was it?
What are the 15 Scottish ones next year?

Chris has handbook also so will grab off him or you in the new year if it is on the cards that I do some TT's down Lancashire and surrounding. I'll be dragged down there next year on occasion with her so might as well get some use of being down there :p

That's 15 races, not 15 courses.
I think there's 5-6 courses closest to us being Loch Leven (glencoe one, I think)

Edit: just checked it - there's 14 courses.

I've got a spreadsheet from the CTT Scotland secretary saying that this is the info he has sent to CTT for inclusion in the handbook next year so I guess they are not all on the site yet.

I think last year was the first time any CTT races were run in Scotland? So I guess those courses on the site are the ones which were used last year.

edit: sent you email

Ah nice one, thanks!
Cambusbarron getting a CTT 10 and 25. Decent :cool::cool:

Seen some info on Scotland getting the Nashy 10 in 2018 also. They looking for clubs to put forward interest.

Sorry it is the 1080 I was thinking off and mistakenly thought it was the 900 which was sketch.

I train with our secretary so can get the handbook no bother. I was having a quick look through it on way to the TTT champs in August but man there is heaps in it! Will need to proper sit and waste some life reading it. Although there will be a new one with the 3cm rule amendment soon, of course :p

You buy that 808 with the FMB on? Those meant be super quick, rare as hens teeth though so guessing you bought second hand with that tub glue'd?

Why did you go with 808 over a Hed3 or a FFWD tri? Just curious!

That's good, think you only really need to worry about CTT rules 100% when you're competing at the top.

Yeah second hand, 2014 model with the FMB tub. I was keeping an eye out for a H3+ as I want the extra width, I had the H3C previously but it was too narrow for any sort of confidence through corners on sporting courses, far too easily knocked off line. 808 should provide capability on all courses whilst being rapid.

So stupid having different rules. CTT ones are bad enough.

I thought it would be stability.
Doing a lot of reading on tri spokes but I don't think I would get away with one on the junk we ride around on up here. Roads are a shambles.

All you boys should just come and TT up here. You'll get tutted at but you can go full superman nutcase position if you want and won't get DQ'd. Slower courses though so not worthwhile.

No, i'm pretty sure that's not the case. I'd say around 90% of riders would be DQ each race if it was.
I think it's just national champs where they apply UCI technical regs.

Pretty much this, I've never seen anything in regards to position, but never ridden a national, but entered some big opens and nothing ever visible.

Think it might be a bigger deal for next season. I'll be making the effort to be compliant at least.

3cm :p
Commie will be sacking folk off on the start line.
Or will they be DQ'ing people based on photo's after the events?
Or will other riders be grassing folk in?

Bigger deal next year no doubt but enforcement of anything probably no different. It'll just give cyclists more things to moan about in a valid manner, which is the last thing cyclists need! :D

My mate got stung in Australia recently, no official Australian Standards sticker on his helmet as he bought it when he was at IM Kona.

Docked him 1 minute on his TT & he had to frantically borrow someone elses helmet.

One trip to the supermarket later, sticker from a kiddies helmet. All legal again :D

TBF I'm not that bothered if there are people 4 or 5cm over but there are people way in excess of that and bordering superman. In that case it becomes unfair.

Solo & Solid, what saddles are you using?
What have you tried in the past also before arriving at a TT saddle you actually "like" ?

Ah yeah I know ShammyShamrockooooo but I done some browsing about and seen pics of bikes and worked out what some people had like yourself and berger. Wasn't sure what those 2 girls were using hence specificity.

Fizik Arione as in an R1/3/5? Or a Tri K 1/3/5?
I have Arione R1 on race bike and R3 on winter bike. Too long nose for me on the TT bike though need shorter.
Fizik Tritone on TT bike currently but it has to go. Not keen on the ISM's what so ever :(

Tempted by Arione K3 or the Aerocoach Axis as may get a chance at one cheap and barely used.

Some Fizik thing, Arione TT? I tried an ISM Adamo, but didn't get on with it. Going to grab myself an Aerocoach one I think.
