Afghanistan - 20 years on

Not the parents that gave biden a mouth full as their children came off the plane.
And most of the US army.
Wonder why biden was looking at his watch every 5 mins? meds time.

https://www.militarytimes.com/news/...-full-withdrawal-from-afghanistan-grows-poll/

About 57 percent of veterans surveyed said they feel the United States should be less engaged in military conflicts overseas, an increase of about 9 percent from last year. Only 7 percent said they think the country should be more involved.

In Afghanistan specifically, 73 percent of veterans surveyed support a full withdrawal of American military forces, and 69 percent of family members voiced the same opinion. In the 2019 poll, that figure was about 60 percent for each group.

More heavy gear for the Poor Bloody Infantry to lug around. The 5.56x45mm cartridge has been found lacking in terms of effective range and terminal ballistics when fired through the M4A1 carbine and the US are heading back towards more powerful 0.300”/7.62mm rounds again.

Yes, but there's some interesting stuff being developed (such as a lighter, plastic cartridge for a faster, amour piercing round), and lighter guns with the easier to use bullpup configuration. There's a Youtube channel called Task & Purpose where they've been able to try out a lot of the stuff that's currently being tendered for the next-gen soldier program.

Just like Syria, Libya and Yemen, give it a few months and no one will even remember that these countries are still in complete turmoil and no better than when the conflicts started.

Looks like the Taliban have pilots, video going round showing them hanging people from a helicopter.

I wonder who's piloting it? I could take a few guesses. :(

Biden did leave american citizens behind even after he promised not to.

You can't force people out and the US has no idea how many US citizens are actually there. They don't have to report to the US embassy when they arrive. Just as our government has no idea exactly how many British citizens are still there. They've had months to get out, if they left it to the last second then they are idiots.

If you can't actually read what I typed there is not much point in having a discussion with you.

At what point in my paragraph did I ever say that is what I thought about the Biden administration?

You wrote

In a few months time the attention will be that Biden potentially let terrorists into the US...doesnt matter if there is any truth in it they will just sow the seeds of doubt to make people angry at the dems in a bid to win more 2022 seats and remove any chance of the dems holding onto the house.

What was the alternative? Leave them there to face their fate? Then he gets criticised for that and pictures/video of people being killed are thrown at him. This is a no win scenario, a portion of the country hits him if he leaves them, another portion is probably praying for an attack so they can hit him.

Does anyone care about Libya anymore?

What about Somalia (pirates)?

Rwanda?

The Somalian pirates issue got "fixed", they just allowed ships to carry armed security lol. After a few of them got filled with holes and left for the sharks it sort of died down.
