What probe do you guys use for the airfryer?
Mine comes with the Ninja Foodi Max Health Grill.
I've heard good things of the Meater.
i still use one of these and its pretty much bang on around 4 degrees less.

i dived in for the ninja foodi max pro at £299 seems good for what i have cooked in it, but i imagine there are cheaper alternatives out there.
Ate air fryers more economical to use in relation to an ordinary oven?
When we started getting 3 chips artfully placed into a little tower/metal basket at fancy restaurantsAt what point did chips get crunchy? Dont recall having crunchy chips from the chippy.

Ah right, those chips from "posh" places are never as good as a decent chippy chips anyway.
I'll pass that onto Heston
Found the key to get em crunchy is dash of olive oil and then coat them in seasoning (been using the scwartz jars) and make sure to shake half way, tried all that soaking drying etc just seems waste of time and doesnt make a difference personally, cut em then staight in basket and cook .Ive done two lots of chips in the airfryer and ive not been hugely bowled away up to press.
Process has been to chip them by hand, leave to soak in some cold water for 15 mins or so, empty and dry, throw into a bowl, season and add a touch of oil to get them coated. Then into the airfryer on their standard chip setting which is 195 for 25mins iirc. They are cooked, brown and goldeny on the outside and soft in the middle but lacking any real proper crunch on the outside, its like they have formed a weird sort of skin on the outside which I'm not sure if it is down to the spud used (I thought Maris Pipers were supposed to be good for this kinda thing). The basket hasn't been overloaded too.
Anyone any tips? Next stop is trying over chips straight in them.
