Air fryers

It's totally up to you but these are homemade, handcut, double-fried (in oil).

It is completely, and IMO superior, texture to chip shop chips. And I don't think it is possible to do in the Airfryer.

Yeh you're right, that kinda texture you need that instant, searing hot heat covering all round the chip to get a plate of nice cronchy boiz like you have there!

It does help if you par boil them, then chill and then air fry, like triple cooked chips essentially. Roughing up the par boiled chips helps create some crunch.

I'm toying with giving the air fryer thing a go, but not sure I want to spend hundreds at this point. Spotted this in my local ASDA for £89: Scoville Black 5-in-1 XL Air Fryer with Rotisserie

From the website:

• Black
• 5 in 1 design with rotisserie
• 2000 Watts
• Plastic/Glass
• Model number: SAF101B
• Capacity: 11L
• 33.9 x 38.2 x 32.4cm
• Weight: 6.55kg
• 2 year warranty

Pretty certain on the box in store it mentioned a 3 year warranty.

Can't find any reviews or further info. Any idea whether it's good/worth the money/best avoided?

That looks identical to the Tower T17039 I have and it’s great. You can actually see the food as it’s cooking and the rotisserie is great for chicken or joints of meat.

The overpriced Ninja machines have none of the above. Fact.

The machine we bought suited what we wanted with multi function being one of them and rotisserie most defiantly not one of them and at a price we considered very good and would pay again if the machine went pop

Fact!

The above doesn't do sous vide, pressure cooking, slow cooking, frying, steaming.
I wanted one device to do everything. Fact.
I have the Instant Pot Pro not the Ninja.
