Air fryers

I've taken the plunge and got a cheap Tower 4L air fryer from Argos. It will be cheaper than turning on my fan oven, though I'll probably just use it for cooking frozen chips. I am intrigued about what it can be used for though.

It's essentially an oven so you can make everything that an oven can make. I have....made

Chinese style pork belly.

The cookies and bread stuff is OK, but I've got other preferred methods of doing those.

Wings are the cliche air fryer recipe, but the pork belly looks lush.

I have a Tower Air Fryer and it’s great tbh. It’s well made and has never missed a beat. 3 year warranty too.

I have the model with the rotisserie which is amazing for chicken :)

Only negative is the control panel beeps which cannot be silenced. Does my head in if having to enter a manual time and temp setting.

I made some scones in mine today, they were ace, first time I have done them. Do lots of other pastries though including pain au chocolate and croissants, its nailing the temps and cooking time, it is so much faster than an oven. I make them in semi-bulk and freeze them and bake them when I am in the mood.

Picked up a ninja 15 in 1 yesterday. Seems an impressive bit of kit. Only done a cheese toastie, rice and a bit of bacon so far to give it a bit of a test, but have a roast beef with veggies to be done today/tomorrow.
