Akasa Eclipse 62's Club... Desktop & Machines.

Do the PSU case screw fixings line up with the case? never known any size PSU not fit an Akasa Eclipse..... The V2 Eclipse's have now extended there PSU bay to enable to fit larger power supplys, haven't seen any modifications to the case to fit the oppisite...

No, they don't. The PSU is near enough the same size as the hole on the back of the case so the fixings don't line up.

I found a pic of the V2 with what appears to be a smaller bracket installed. I'm pretty sure its what I'm missing:

No idea what I've done with it. Maybe I chucked it away cause my old psu didn't need it :(

Think I should contact Akasa?

EDIT (for stupidity): I just thought 'I wonder if I unscrewed the psu or did I unscrew the bracket with the psu attached?'. Checked in the box and turns out it was the latter :o One missing bracket found and new psu installed. Must look at what I'm doing more closely :)

I've been meaning to post in here for quite a while, but never seem to be quite happy with how my Omega is laid out. Someday I'll get around to posting a photos, black tubing inside a black case is tricky for a novice with a phone camera.

There's a lot of references to getting the pre cut panels for the omega. If you're one of the people who wants one of these, I'd like to refer you to a thread in the MM: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18010973

I'm still moving a lot of things around in my case, currently trying to mount the hard drives on the base of the case in order to fit a radiator where the hard drive cage is. We'll see how that goes. Some properly inspirational builds in this thread, cheers for posting them :)

Some updated pics of my 62, ive fitted a window side panel and a scythe kama bay, and replaced all the fans with sharkoon silent eagle 2000's and fitted an akasa junior fan controller, cables could do with a bit of sorting and hopefully replace the ide dvdrw with a sata model.

Can i join? :p Must point out though, this was actually WJA's. As was the stuff along the bottom... that i should install at some point. I don't really want to do anything since i'm planning on upgrading as soon as i get the chance.

Sorry about the picture quality, my camera (Cannon PowerShot S3 IS) is usually great at stills. It's just that the lense was filthy, and i only noticed when i'd put the side panel back on and all the stuff in the cupboard. :(

Yes, it is on. And yes, i did stick the HDD in the bottom with blu-tack. What? Look at the length of the cables!

Can anyone help me as to where i'm supposed to plug these front light/button connectors? I figured out the power button then got bored :)

The white sharkoon fan cables are going to be braided in black, as are the wires from the fan controller and the red sata cables will be replaced with black ones as well.
