Akasa Eclipse 62's Club... Desktop & Machines.

Maybe someone could help me here. I have this case (Akasa Eclipse) and ive bought myself a USB and Firewire card to go in it (2 firewire ports and 6 usb).

The problem is this: I when inserting it into the motherboard the gap you create by taking out the blanking plates is not big enough to put any usb or firewire 'wires' into. The case overlaps the ports slightly. Has anyone had this problem before? I dont really know what to do at the moment. I really need firewire and my motherboard didnt come with it.

How would you reccoment i get to these ports?

Thanks a lot

Frosty

My Globalwin "Eclipse" at the moment.

Bit by bit modding it. Last stage was cutting holes for routing cables, and fitting the watercooling better. Plus some wiring to mount the lights how I want. Plus a fair bit of wire management.

Underglow white neons! Plus UV cathodes inside.

Coming soon, mods to the front of the case, aswell as the top.

Where's yours? PinkFloyd's put his machine up here so we can all see what he likes - it may not be your taste, but you could have been positive, or at the very least witty in your expression of dislike. Poor value.
Quite. It's not to my taste but PF's obviously put a lot of effort in to getting the case how he wants it and is happy to show it off. Presumably [DW]Muffin's other almost 20,000 posts are of similar value.

Lurvly job mate...how did you go about the full size window...looks far beter than the one i have (the eclipse windowed side panel)

Thanks for all the positive comments. I accept that its not to everyones taste, I rarely have the lights on! That's more for showing off at the next LAN I'm at (end of the month)

The side window is a globalwin panel imported from America by the previous owner. No idea if you can still get them.
Should be fairly easy to make though, its essentially just a huge clear piec of plastic with screw wholes on the back :p
