Sweet. I knew the eclipse/mirage was a re-badged case. Still my fav though. Most cases in that price bracket are of the same quality...they are all over priced IMO regardless of weather they have been designed from scratch or not.

Can you get it in black?

Still trying to source it in the UK...... the journey continues :D

Nice one M8... Very interested to see what you think of the "Omega" when you receive it..:) hope lots of piccie's will be on there way, any delivery dates for your new case.

coming on tuesday, but the build will be over 4 weeks. I will however take loads of shots on tuesday and uploaded them straight away.

I'm selling my mirage to a mate for £60ish and doing a full re-build for him at the same time so expect some side by side shots.

got the omega for £130 so minus the £60 its not too extreme £70 and i'm really looking forward to the build.

looked at tons of cases but the inside always looks wrong in comparison to akasa. Just love the look. Clean simple and open.

Very suprised a second hand panel was sent... Hopefully a mix up in stock and not the norm....

the guy said it was sent without checking. and should be brand new. he personally made sure the next one is fine and has payed for sat delivery.

cant argue with that tbh. no mention of an rma.

Is the interior of the Mirage the same as the Omega??? Looking to buying an Omega just going to wait and see what your opinions of the case are... ;)

lI have no idea what the inside is like. I know it can house 6 120mm fans. has a side and top grill for x2 120mm fans each.

thats about all i know. and a 3mm thick aluminium front :D

I will get a complete comparisions list when I get the case with loads of pictures. I'll post them in here come tuesday.

be good if its got some mobo holes. my mirage has only got one and its cover completely by the mobo.

Yeah the fact its another companies design doesnt bother me. If I was making cases I'd use it :D price is up there with the quality of other £100 cases...better I think

oh but it does have the mobo tray

"There are thumbscrews everywhere including the five that hold the removable motherboard tray in position.

I realize that the photo above is not very clear, the motherboard tray is manufactured of a mirror finish stainless steel, it’s extremely strong and rigid,"

Yes, it's called an Akasa Eclipse.:p

Globalwin 61F1 its called

Not at the place I got mine from. Globalwin also rebadged it from the original manufacturer - I've posted all this before. Akasa just seemed to be getting a bit greedy at £130 for a 62F that's all. If you search about a bit you'll find all the info - I even had 4 magnesium fronts made up a couple of years back, but they were so expensive no-one would buy any, so I cancelled the project. If I recall correctly each front actually cost me about £500. If I'd made 1000 of them, they'd still have cost (no profit) £50 each.

they do look very interesting and i have to say for me they look better than the other Akasa large cases but in blac would be great.

It is EXACTLY the same case, made in the same factory as the Akasa badged ones. The black ones are currently only sold in the UK by Akasa. Another importer brings in the beige one, but is identical. Most stores won't stock it as they wouldn't sell many Eclipses if they did.

Cool got any pics?

what case you on now?

I'm sure I do somewhere... Two were exact CNC copies of the existing non-doored front, one looked like a Lian Li PC7 and one like a Hoojum Cubit case (quite rounded).

what case you on now?

2 x Lian Li S80B (water cooled)
1 x Lian Li PC-A05B
1 x Lian Li PC-A05A (ordered on a bad day after I'd scratched a black case, and I regret it now)
1 x Lian Li G70B
1 x Soldam/Windy Black Knight (don't tell anyone - definitely not Yewen!)
1 x Silverston SG-03
1 x Akasa Eclipse
1 x Bosse 62F currently being painted a la wasp yellow/black()

I think I've got an AC Silentium T1 and a Nexus Silent up in the Attic and doubtless some other stuff too, but that's what is actually in use and running at the moment. In a previous life I had 10 Eclipses, all identical machines, all running SAP BS/1 client software test suite, but now I'm not that anal about uniformity any more.
