Akasa Eclipse 62's Club... Desktop & Machines.

i am hoping before next tuesday, so i can get it built whilst the GF is away with her mates.

The golf? well I'm good on par 3's and bad on par 5's. I cant hit a driver for fudge. so i play a 3 iron from the tee. I'm slowly getting better tho, scoring around high 90's now as opposed to 115-125's. I guess I'll just keep plugging away :D

well my Omega arrived today, and its broken :( the securing tabs have snapped off the front panel and the side grill. Now i have to wait to get a new one. Really impresed with the way the new design front panel looks tho.

Really sorry to her that. The very first day I got my mirage I didnt understand quite how the front tabs worked and snapped one off. Luckly akasa sent me a new front.

Now that my omega is in place and set-up I love the front design. All the way through my 2 builds recently I prefered the look of the mirage but once I'd placed the omega on the desk I completely went the other way. Hope your replacement is perfect - It will be :cool:

Congrats on getting thru the 100 mark - you'll never forget it. And don't worry about driving if you're not comfortable with it. Did the same as you for my 1st year, went to woods for a year or so, then picked up a Ping G5 12-deg offset/stock shaft and it's working wonders. Bit annoyed this year as I wanted to break 80, but ended up with 1 80 and 4 81's - all 5 after blowing a 290yd par-4 18th. *smacks head*

Friend about to put an order in with OC for a new rig, and after all my constant nagging, is going for an Omega. Glad he's upgrading, and a tad jealous, as he's going for 8500, 4870, 8GB, TRUE Black, etc - learnt from my mistakes. :D
 
A few Mirage 62 queries

I've been keen on the Mirage 62 for ages and will hopefully be putting an order in soon. I've read through part of this huge thread and some of the reviews, but would be most appreciative if some Mirage 62 users could answer these queries.


1. Firstly, Akasa's site seems to indicate that the V3 version is the latest, yet I've seen the V4 sold at a competitor. Which version is OcUK shipping?

2. Does the plastic door hold up well to regular use? Has anyone's broken or snapped off? Also, would I be able to fit a fan controller with protruding adjustment knobs and still be able to close the door completely?

3. All the reviews and pics show it being pretty spacious inside. Are there any CPU coolers that are problematic to fit? I'm thinking of either getting the Arctic Cooling Freezer XTREME or Skythe Ninja 2 perhaps.

1, send them a webnote

2, Plastic door is solid, got one here of 26 months and its like the day I bought it. No you wont be able to fit a fan controller, that's only on the omega.

3, Any cooler will fit.

I can almost guarantee they won't be prepared to state what version they are shipping. They wouldn't ever do it on a Lian Li PC7 or V1000 and I can't see them wanting to change policy now.

I'm going to have to down size my PC case guys as my new workstation area is just too small. Bit of an oversite really but oh well.

Going to be selling my Omega on MM (£60). :(

Get to do a re-build though :D
