Not sure where you got a 6/10 average from lol its more like 8/10.
I cant take that IGN review seriously when he says unpredictable AI is a negative thing when its one of the best things about it.

i just had a quick skim on a review, and in the comments section had a load of scores, there were quite a few 5/6 and 7 out of 10s, and a few 8 and 9s...I just evened it out, looks like 6 or 7ish or so is the average, or that was how I saw it. Not judging the game on reviews, was just saying, will wait and see for myself but still, taking ign score out of it, what is written in the review makes me go "you what"

http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/alien-isolation - 79 meta critic score atm. More accurate to use this website than any specific reviewer as a guideline of how good something is.

No two people have exactly the same taste in things though. Its always best to try something out yourself if you can. I wish demo's still existed for major releases, just so this could actually happen, instead of the rather dubious people who pirate a game first to "try it", then supposedly buy it afterwards, which we all know is a crock of ****.

I might well be wrong, though I think this might have quite a limited replay value for someone like myself, so I'll pick it up when dirt cheap.

Quite looking forward to TB's review of it.

I never take any IGN review seriously, they've time and again posted skewed reviews if they're in with the developer or not.

Saw a good review and since i loved the original movie I might pick up a copy sometime.

If you're into lotsa guns and lotsa fraggin' you're going to be disappointed. Its all about the suspense from what I can see, just like the movie.

Probably wait for it to be in a sale though.

I'm staying away from all the youtube videos going up now, I don't want the experience sullied.

Admittedly, I've seen a few bits of some early ones just to gauge how the graphics look and whether it captures the tension of the first film and so far it certainly looks spot on.

Play it late at night in a dark room, no lights with headphones on and volume maxed :p
