Oh wow, details and sounds were amazing. Little things like the detail of all the 70s style desks and the gum under the tables were brilliant.

Favourite bit was the sounds of the alien dragging its tail over the vents when it appeared

I also love the fact that there is a tonne of detail in the environment. The lighting at the start of the demo reminds me massively of the intro to alien were the lights flicker on in order before the crew are awakened by mother.

This game you really need to play at night..mostly.
Really turn off the lights headphones on, and enjoy. Im brave enough to do it

Im really looking forward to this, but Im also not, cos I know its going to scare the hell outta me.

Alien was my no.1 nightmare movie when I was younger but Im so happy they have that distinct alarm wailing siren just like the movie cos for me that noise brings back so many scary yet fond memories of the movie.

Oddly, Im also considering pre-ordering this for PS4 instead of PC. I think the visuals will be very good on the console and for me using a controller will add to the panicked fumbling that the game tries to emphasize when being chased by the alien, with a keyboard and mouse I would feel more in control to do things quickly. For this particular game, I dont think I want that privilege which will make the game even scarier

How on earth did you come to that conclusion?! The game graphically looks fantastic! PR event aside, the reviews of the demo that was available were very favourable!

Can't you just use a xbox 360 controller on your pc, best of both worlds
Better visuals and a controller to boot

True, I did think of this but at least my PS4 will get some use considering there dosent seem to be any decent looking PS4 exclusive games coming out between now and October.

If it's just a case of running away and hiding inside a locker every time it gets near, won't that get a bit boring after a while? Especially as ever locker appears to have the same photo taped to the inside. Can't say i'm impressed so far.
