Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

They like to try and hide it.

When signed in on website:

1. Go to Your Account page
2. Scroll to the bottom of the site, in the footer bar, click Customer Service (direct link might work not sure: https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/contact-us/foresight/hubgateway)
3. Click Something Else.. in the middle buttons.
4. Click Contact Us button.
5. Chat window should pop up. Ignore the options. Type "chat" in the chat message bit at the bottom and hit send.

This should work :)

Be polite but firm I find always helps. Just stick to the facts, item shows as delivered but you've not received it and the delivery driver didn't knock or speak to you.

If they disbelieve you, mention that normally codes are used to prove delivery of high value items, but nothing was checked here, and what is stopping the driver marking it as delivered but not delivering it (don't accuse them of stealing it, that is up to their own processes). Mention that the package may have been left in the delivery vehicle.

Thanks for that, I actually managed to get on the chat just now - it was Firefox preventing a popup window opening :) Got past that but no real developments. They are investigating the carrier but will take no action (redelivery or refund) until end of day Tues. They did hint it's not an unkown problem and they have processes in place to investigate such losses. Just annoyed because I had tools out ready to install the soundbar onto my wall so that's why I was monitoring the delivery closely, I don't usually bother.

Fair enough, at least it gives you something to wait for, but yeah I think it's unlikely to appear if it hasn't shown up today.

Don't let them fob you off here though, I imagine a lot of customers "try it on" pretending they didn't get a delivery, but genuine cases like yours do happen as well.

They refunded me. They wouldn't offer a replacement just a refund, which is fine because when I looked on the Majority company website it was actually a couple of quid cheaper plus a 10% discount if I subscribed to their newsletter (I just used Firefox Relay to generate a throw-away email address :) ). Guess I should have looked there first it would have saved a lot of hassle. I never got chance to question them about their 'investigation' of the missing parcel.

easiest way to communicate with Amazon is call back on your phone - you know you have a humans undivided attention and much more efficient for you,
AI isn't going to replace that tomorrow.

Have you ever worked in an Amazon warehouse? Pretty much all reports point to it being an utterly dire job.
Similar, but not Amazon.

But they aren't complaining about that, they just want extra money. That money could be used to employ more staff and reduce workload.

That's not how an Amazon FC works, they trim each dep down to the bare minimum that they can get away with.

Of course that's not how it works. Getting paid £13+ to do that job also isn't how it works. The point was it's about money, not that Amazon are going to employ more people to reduce workload, they aren't.

Surely they want more money because of rubbish working conditions, higher workload. Would you work in a **** hole on minimum wage?

It's not minimum wage, it's 23k a year and they want 27k a year.

I didn't say it was, I just used that as example, if you worked in really poor working conditions, you would want a decent wage. And just for reference I know other distribution sectors in the same London and surrounding areas earning £14+ for exactly the same type of job. I was quite surprised when I saw what Amazon workers were on, considering its one of the richest companies on the planet.

Amazon are keen to keep cycling young workers. It isn't a job for life, hence why they don't want to pay as such.
