Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

Delivery seems to have hit the **** pile recently, with emails informing me it was handed to the resident, which means left against the door or behind the bin and when you click wasn't happy with delivery, nothing happens I guess, apart from the delivery driver being told 5 people were not happy today.
Also have cancelled orders a few times when stated today/tomorrow delivery becomes sometime next week/month after payment. This is more noticeable when it ends up coming from abroad, which is not stated in the ad to start with.
Poxy adverts and so much now being an extra subscription I was going to cancel, but the OH paid, but that will be under review early next year.

I had this happen with a Garmin Fitbit. I ordered and it said next day delivery with Amazon prime. The next day nothing arrived and to be fair I was not in any rush but still nothing a few days later. I finally checked the order and it had changed to one week delivery.

I think it must be area related, but most of my deliveries come the next day and I've never had prime.

Kinda makes a mockery of anyone that pays it........

Don't get me wrong. Most deliveries are same/next or as stated, but what riles me is the item states next day, and that might be useful to me, but as you check the basket, it shows something else for delivery time.
A few times I've cancelled that one and bought the slightly dearer item, or in the case of something recently, that was shown to be here in a few days, that turned into a few weeks, I cancelled and bought from the High St.

Most of the time delivery times do not really matter and only seems to happen when I did want it for a job or Birthday present.

One-Day Delivery

Not in a rush as I'm off for 6 weeks anyway, but...

I got my one day delivery to an amazon locker today. Delivered fine but the touch screen on the locker is broken and the delivery was split over 2 parcels so you cant press the button to allow you to scan the second bar code and you can not release either parcel without scanning both barcodes.

My two parcels are locked in the locker as a result.....

Is there also not a physical keyboard on your lockers too, mine has that.

My biggest 'issue' with Amazon prime deliveries at the moment is that they've actually sent me stuff a day early.... even after selecting a specific delivery day. Got some stuff today (well yesterday now) that should be coming tomorrow...
Luckily it's usually fine but what's the point in putting all your deliveries onto one day and then Amazon ignoring it lol.

I'm pretty lucky that all the local delivery drivers, not just amazon, are pretty good at the moment, royal mail collections for returns are a bit hit and miss though....

I've just ordered some stuff a few minutes ago and after checkout it's saying one of the items is going to be delivered today and the rest tomorrow 29th. I would have been happy with them all coming tomorrow.

I ordered something last week, not a Black Friday deal just a normal product.

I ordered size XL at 75 Euros.

Package arrived and the seller has despatched an L, not the XL I ordered..

I go to do the normal process of returning it and reordering and hoping they send the correct item this time.

This is when I notice that the price for the XL item I ordered has been increased to 100 Euros, or if you are a Prime member you can now get it for 70.

I'm not happy to pay the extra, so I contact Amazon live chat.

The guy tells me that there is nothing that can be done, return and reorder is the only option. I explain the price increase. He tells me it hasn't increased, it has actually been reduced to 70. I point out that is a Prime deal and I am not a Prime member. I would like the item I ordered at the price I paid.

His "resolution" was that I should buy Prime membership and then I could get it at the price I want :D

I've ordered from Amazon for years and always found the customer service really good, but this just felt like I was talking to.... well if the English hadn't been so clumsy it felt like talking to ChatGPT, just repeating information with no contextual awareness.

Is this just how it is now with Amazon?

Amazon have gotten terrible recently.

Customer services don’t seem to care at all when there is an issue.

I’m also convinced the chat advisors are a.i.

And benefits such as advance replacements no longer appear as an option.

Before if I had a faulty item they would dispatch a replacement instantly whilst giving me 30 days to return the original order.

All I have now is the option to return for refund.

In the past week I ordered 3 things that were labelled as prime next day on the product search page(probably forgot to update), but then were 2-3 day delivery (from amazon warehouse).

Seems they might be struggling to hit targets I guess.

I find that is increasing a lot in general, not just AI/chat bots. So many tech/help forums these days are just useless really with people just responding to certain keywords in someone's post without understanding what they are actually asking or making any attempt to.

Very evident on tech.

Any kind of Windows problem, go to the Microsoft support forums. and 99% of the time it is run SFC or DISM to fix corrupted files on the system, either Windows has a nasty bug which causes data corruption or its robotic responses. Of course this has spread to other communities, tenforums etc. usually reply with the same thing. I usually post as a disclaimer I have already ran DISM to fend it off. :) But even then I have had replies saying it as if they in full on robot mode, then when I point I said they already ran it they admit they didnt read the full post. :)

As you said its all over the place, often people will google and post it as their answer, which should be appreciated for the effort, but it leads to the majority of responses from people who dont understand the problem they responding to.

Funny enough just having a similar issue at work - consignment details didn't get updated overnight due to a computer crashing, goods piling up which can't be processed as the details one end don't match what is on the computer at the other end - cue questions as to how we can resolve this, answer it should have been updated the night before, repeat yeah but it hasn't, how do we resolve this, response again it needs to have been submitted the night before... *facepalm*

Had a bit of a scare earlier on, was tracking a delivery which was out for delivery and it showed as delivered at 1:44pm. Immediately went downstairs as it wasn't outside my door as it should have been and nothing was there outside my post box.

Checked outside every other persons door and nothing was there, went back upstairs was about to contact Amazon when I heard someone coming in downstairs. Turned out it was the postman and he left my package outside my post box.

It was only a pair of shoes which I needed as I only realised the other day that my old pair were letting in water, they'd lasted two years so I bought the same ones again.

Strange that it said it was delivered before it had actually been delivered, I guess the postie scanned it when he took it out of his trolley before leaving it outside my post box.
