AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

I'm not sure what you've been looking at. It's a complete 50/50 depending on game though. The 5700xt averages about 15% slower than the 3060ti.

And the suggestion is the 6700xt is 10% faster than the 5700xt so it's price/performance is right there with the 3060ti from that then.
Yes it does vary by game.

There are plenty of games where the 5700XT is slower than a 2070S. Plenty.

And apparently the 6700XT is only 10% faster (then the 5700XT).

Gen-on-gen that's really poor. Isn't RDNA2 supposed to be loads more efficient? And yet (allegedly) they've only been able to make a card that's 10% better for £400.

Anyone who bought a 6800 non XT here been shipped yet? It's been 5 days, and CyberPunk is coming...
I genuinely don't think I've *ever* seen so many people creaming themselves over a game that has yet to release.

To the extent that you even see some people buying entirely new systems to play it...

they are likely basing the experience on the Witcher 3 which isn't a bad thing i suppose, the dev has a very good track record when it comes to making these types of game. but yea spending a few grand for 1 game seems abit OTT. i wish i had the disposable income to do that :D

Guilty as charged :/

Although in my defence its only cost me about £500 in total to upgrade over 12 months after selling the old bits :p

Yeah and there plenty of games that go the other way too;
  • Dirt 5, Assassins Creed Valhalla (beat the 3060Ti let alone the 2070 super)
  • Death Stranding, F1 2020, Gears 5, Horizon Zero Dawn, Rainbow 6 Siege, Assassins Creed Odyssey, Doom Eternal better than 2070 super
  • World War Z, MS Flight sim exactly same performance as 2070 super
What is your point there? As said it all game dependant and on what you play. Looking at a flat average isn't handy if you only play certain games. It is good if you play everything of course as you can see your averages. But the 2070s had nothing to do with this anyways so not sure why you brought that up tbh. Just wanted to show there plenty the other way too.

Point being it's rumoured that AMD knows it's going to struggle against the 3060Ti and especially the 3060Tis price point. They want to price it at $400+ and it's only 10% better than the 5700XT.

If those rumours are true, it's a shockingly poor product, and gives us all the more reason to be angry at AMD's inability to sell 6800XT at RRP, hah.

Basically don't pin your hopes on a 6700XT and try to wait it out. The 6800XT is going to be the only card worth buying at this rate. The 6900XT isn't worth buying, and nor is the 6800 non-XT. Basically because of AMD's strange pricing.

But with the 6700XT, the gap between it and the 6800 is going to be large, and those of us wanting a card to drive high-refresh 1440p aren't going to want anything other than the 6800XT.

That's my point :p

I'm not worried about performance. Picked up a 6900xt today and happy with that for myself and the performance at 1440p.

The point still stands considering the games I play generally and the performance of the 5700xt showing that it is already punching close or near the 3060ti in some means a even a 10% increase would be decent.
