what a joke the amd shop was, got a shipping error for like a hour, then only available with a special promo link!

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing from that link because, while on the "usual" amd website the estimated shipping times were like 5/7 business days, using that promo link they were like 7-21 days. And so I thought "Ok, does it mean they're dispatched from the U.S. instead (the link pointed to shop.amd.com which is available just in the U.S.)? So...duty taxes added when I receive the package?"
Let us know if yuo receive the card with no additional costs and in the specified shipping window

Well, the amount charged to my CC is the same as on the invoice. Incidentally, this is the same amount that was displayed on the "normal" shop site, so no extra taxes etc.
The card was dispatched from Holland last night at 10:26pm via DHL, I have tracking information supplied by both AMD + digital river, which both match.
So far, its looking fairly normal. If it turns out to be a concrete block when it arrives, i'll let you know

Yeah, shipping costs can be the same as duty taxes are added when they reach the border, but if it has been shipped from Holland it's set: I'm an idiot and I let this chance slip away

Received my 6800 from OCUK 9.30am, installed and well. THANK YOU ALL at OCUK, hope you have a great christmas.
Believe he said previously that they've got so few (like a handful) that it doesn't make sense to make them available to buy.
And by the looks of things that situation isn't changing very fast.
@Gibbo has said that he will put a few up next week but expects them to go in seconds rather than minutes. The question is which thread will he put the notice on so we stand a slim chance of knowing when they are up. (GO GO GO GO)
I have seen an AIB 6800XT go up for sale (in stock for 3min) on a competitor, so hope OCUK puts something online soon

You have to have signed up for alerts to have any chance. And some people are even having to pay for alerts (because you need to make sure your alert is earlier than the next guy's alert

I won't be taking part either, I have better things to do with my life. I just browse every now and then to see what is happening. Hopefully if @Gibbo does a drop here, I'll see it but still don't hold out much hope, I can't spend all day looking at forums as I have now recovered from my bout of Covid and am back to work at the hospital tomorrow. I'll just wait until spring/summer when stock may actually be available in meaningful numbers.
