Meteor Lake is planned to go up against Zen 4. Intel's success in 2023 will depend on when it's released.
No it's not, don't you start talking the same nonsense as Dave2510.Meteor Lake is planned to go up against Zen 4
because Intel must release something every 12 months.
Intels success in 2023 will depend on if Pat and TSMC can come to a deal on pushing the competition out the 3nm node. That success will only perceived as success though. In reality that will be 3nm low power CPU’s with Integrated graphics and Intel ARC GPU’s for Ponte Vecchio.
No it's not
Now now, Intel keep sockets for a while. Whether the annual CPU and chipset releases retain compatibility is an entirely different matter...and a new socket?
..and a new socket?
AMD said back in July "sometime in 2022", and haven't said anything else since. If that "sometime" is a paper launch this time next year then yes, actual availability will be Q1 2023. Which I don't believe for a minute, because AMD are simply not going to run with Zen 3 v cache for an entire year and allow Intel to win back performance numbers and mindshare.Availability of Zen 4 desktop will probably be Q1 2023, unless we hear otherwise from AMD.
No, you're saying Meteor Lake is moving forward by an entire year.Never said it would release 'on time' to go up against Zen 4...
So Intel once again think (dirty) money talks!
Guess it does, or more precisely: "money doesn't talk, it swears!".
Well unless TSMC look at things a bit more long-term and consider Intel to be an unreliable long-term partner. Who unfortunately has powerful political friends so I guess TSMC will roll over

Please stop, Dave2510, 4K8KW10 and others already post enough nonsense, we don't need another regular contributor to the bull manure pile.
Until Intel can flush out a full product stake produces them in its own fabs AMD will keep increasing the lead.
If i get 1$ for every Intel plan i would be billionaire, no one serious is taking Intel plans seriously, and Meteor Lake will fight against Zen 5, Raptor Lake will fight against Zen 4., and Meteor Lake, or even Raptor Lake would be last big/little cpu, i hope that idea of big/little in desktop dies permanently.Meteor Lake is planned to go up against Zen 4. Intel's success in 2023 will depend on when it's released.
So Robert Hallock confirming a new desktop platform for 2022 in the "5 Years Of Ryzen" video doesn't mean anything because the roadmap doesn't say so? AMD are going to release a new platform in 2022, but not bother with actual CPUs until 2023? Yeah, OK.AMD's roadmap doesn't mention Zen 4 desktop CPUs. Until it does, there's no reason to think they will release these in 2022.
Apple is the evidence, more specifically TSMC have been producing 5nm EUV products for Apple for christ knows how long.Where is the evidence AMD has the capability to release 5nm EUV CPUs at scale in 2022?
For crying out loud man, are you just trolling now? They literally did it last year! Ryzen 3000 XT was released July, Ryzen 5000 was released October. They didn't do this with previous zen generations.
Intel can schedule whatever the hell they want, they don't exactly have a reliable track record when it comes to their manufacturing processes, do they....the Intel 4 process is scheduled for production between Q3 2022 -Q2 2023.
This is what happens when your ill-founded and vapid claims are shot down with actual facts. The only retort you have is "lol"What's with the lol's all the time? Very trollish IMO.
