Hardly news, they generally do use intel cpu's even for internal benchmarking, 7990 video mentioned it at the end in system spec.

You dont look at the case when your gaming mate.Who in AMD thought it would a really good, no, a GREAT idea to put the textured, good looking side where you'll never see it*, and then take the featureless side, put some dirty great ugly stickers on it, and place it where you'll ALWAYS* see it!
*For those of us with a windowed case, of course
You dont look at the case when your gaming mate.
I don't care what company achieves it, in 5 years time you wont be bothered about monitors, you be playing games in VR at 8k each eye. Running 16-32GB HBM memory, I see the future and it looks very nice.
Then when it becomes really good in 10 -15 years time. How do we not know if we are in VR anyway! Crazy paradox.
Think of the best game graphics 15 years ago, now look !
HBM is to VR as is bread to butter, perfect match from a technological point of view!
Who likes wearing stuff on their head while gaming? Will be uncomfortable, unsociable. Perhaps even eye straining. Sometimes you just want to turn your head left but you don't need the display to also do so.
I guess time will tell. But there are reasons no one likes wearing 3d glasses and a headset would be even worse.
We got some good **** coming our way and with this HBM and VR etc. Its going to be bloody fantastic.
So to sum this up, What additional adapters will those of us need running 1080 60hz screens. As many will have triples, so this card only having one HDMI will need two DP to DVI or HDMI , to run the side screens, and will there be any additional lag?

Maybe we should have a separate thread for VR discussion?
Is there one already? Not sure what section it'd be in...
