Yeah didnt they ditch the p4 and build again on p3?
I had a p3 800 too before I got the athlon.

They did - Core was based around the p3 Effectively Intel have been bashing out p3's for near on 10 years.
Game detail fair enough, I don't know enough to argue this but do you have a source?
I can't remember the exact details but the Pentium development line was kind of doing similar to Intel and 10nm now with the Pentium D, etc. increasingly becoming a joke, they had to bring in what was almost a skunkworks project by some Israelis IIRC to salvage things which because the Core 2.
From a quick google it actually stems off the Pentium Pro architecture from 1995 while implementing many of the lessons from the P3 it is actually built from an earlier concept.

Do not insult other users.
Didn't stop the shroud from rattling, i prefer to have the 5700XT but AMD need to be a lot more stringent about quality controlling their AIB partners, like Nvidia do, unlike with Nvidia you cannot guarantee the coolers on AMD's AIB cards are good. THAT NEEDS FIXING AMD.
I like the 5700XT, it is a good GPU, the Drivers are much better than Nvidia's, but i don't like them with budget 2012 Coolers.
Sorry about snapping at you with the stupid because i can comment, i'm tired of explaining this.

There are a few videos out on this that I have seen. A good start would be -
Subscribe to this channel as it is one of the better ones.
Explains why you didnt respond to me sorry didnt want to push any buttons, I was genuinely interested.
We never did see that 10ghz netburst Pentium we were promised. Similar to how we may never see a proper 10nm desktop part What is it with intel and the number 10?
What was it? 10ghz by 2005 for <1 volt? rofl.
Anyone heard anything of AMD offering free game(s) with their new cards? They do it so often Im kinda expecting it now.
Can't remember now but I remember people were getting Pentium D's up to almost 10GHz on LN2, etc. and it was still slower than 3GHz CPUs from the likes of the Athlon 64.
Oh... sorry mate i just didn't see it
ah no worries. cant go wrong with a 2070s bud
Yeah, i'm quite happy.... that is until the new £400 cards arrive.
Nutters - Read my edit on the last post. We are of course both technically correct on where core came from - It's errr... a p3, but the linage starts with a die shrunk p3 with a modification. The Pentium M.
