I know, they pushed back a week for 'reasons..' yet it seems clear now they cant fulfil any promises this year as no matter what excuse you give they never made enough! They should have delayed the pre-order date and trickled out the 3090, then 3080, then 3070 starting from October, but here we are.
Just goes to show that they launched way to early and they only did it mainly because of AMD it seems. They needed to build up stock for a good 2-3 more months before launching really.

I do not buy the line that it is because of unprecedented demand. Even if demand was below expectations they still would not have had enough stock. In over 1 month they only sent OcUK around 500 cards. Lol.

We all suspected that AMD spooked nVidia. What puzzles me really is..how? Don't get me wrong, nvidia are going to know certain details. but AMD have kept these cards soo impressively under wrap that even at this late a stage there's very little solid information. So what did nVidia already know that forced them to paper release the 3080 and 3090? I've always wondered about Su and Jensen. Does nobody else imagine them sitting 'round the family dinner table at Christmas, taking shots at eachother? :p

100% agree on this, there's barely enough stock to supply even the smallest of demand. Anything along this "unprecedented demand" is deflecting the truth, it wasn't ready for launch. And your'e telling me nVidia never looks at the internet to see how much fuss and people were watiign for them, if AMD fall into the same trap it'll be such a shame.

Maybe Jenson and Lisa S were young sweethearts and over a few bevvies they shared some "secrets"...

Agreed. Or should I say a-its-Greed!

They should have been making the cards and stockpiling them while Jensen was flirting with the spatulas in his kitchen. Sack off the September pre-release, and say "available to buy from October" - as lets face it, they still would have been available before AMD by a good few weeks.
