Yue who buys mid range for 4k gaming ?? Maybe if he wants to do RETRO gaming 5+ year old titles ??
Considering that consoles are moving to 4k (even if it is 30fps on some titles) PC gaming should be matching it at the low to mid end or face being left behind.

Imo the move to 4k is long overdue.

Little bit different, 4k TV's are now basically the standard, 1080p is still the most popular monitor... Consoles are primarily plugged into TVs with people sat on couches, makes sense to move to 4K on consoles as the majority of the userbase is on 4K TVs, however PCs is definitely the opposite, majority of users are still on 1080p.

Just waiting for @Grim5 @chris85oc @Dontrocktheboat etc to come steaming back in with their Playstation / Nvidia love & AMD negativity etc again... should be interesting.

Sure lemme fix this quick.

People ( you know who ) act like this ****** crossgen game is anything worth mentioning. Also laughing at 4k 60 or worse with RT and no DLSS on a 3090z They act like AMD won’t perform worse in the same games on big navi with RT on and probably similar without. I mean you do realize that making fun of 3080/3090 perf in ****** wd legion is making fun of big navi as well? Or ..not? Its pretty obvious.

Also comparing console settings to pc in WD legion. Clearly the pc version has stupidly higher settings that you cant even see the difference in ( except by stop frame zooming in ) compared to console but you like to act like it’s the same settings.

Anything else ?

Also bit confused. What negativity? You’re the only ones ******** on the competition no matter what your favorite team can or cant do.

Wish it was this time tomorrow the wait for any news is killing me, I just want to know if all the overtime I have been putting in at work is going to get me something good.

That's kind of my point. considering the productivity benefits of 4k I'm surprised the PC market hasn't moved up to 4k or at least 1440p on the low end. The adoption rate is too slow.

Price. It's all about price. Depending on what AMD do will completely change the direction of the discussion here tomorrow. Lack of availability, higher prices and pent up demand does give AMD an opportunity for increased market share.

The big question is, how many cards do they have ready to go come launch day?

At least half the active posters on this thread carry a torch for NVIDIA. 4k30fps is the way it's meant to be played, unless AMD do it then it's garbage

Agree, 4k is ready for regular PC gamers. Only those that spent a fortune on high fps 1080 will be dragging their heels on it.
