AMD Radeon R9 290X with Hawaii GPU pictured, has 512-bit 4GB Memory

I took what Gibbo said yesterday and dissected it with a fine tooth comb till only letters and numbers were left. Thos letters and numbers were a hidden message stating the 28th of October. It is simple deduction :p

Then look at the first and last numbers of his quoted post QUOTE=Gibbo;25155858

How everyone missed this is beyond me....

You got it all wrong, '25160513' is the firestrike score for the new card, not the launch date....

If AMD launch today and it's not available till next week, not only will loads of people be for some reason angry because they aren't ready immediately, Nvidia will also drop the price of cards already on shelves to try and make it look like the AMD cards are more expensive by comparison.

You don't know nvidia very well do you.

How will choosing models work anyway, I assume you have limited stock on each manufacturer so who will get first choice?

I really hope you didn't get any xfx in...

Here is a question

If an R9 290X is about 37.5% more powerful than a HD 7970, will it really be able to catch a Titan using extreme settings and Hi Rez

Here is the table from the Heaven 4 1440p section,

1. Score 1147, GPU nvTitan, @1306/1884, CPU 3930k @4.625, Gregster Link
2. Score 1107, GPU nvTitan, @1228/1801, CPU 2500k @4.6, khemist Link
3. Score 1065, GPU nvTitan, @1189/1752, CPU 3930k @4.5, whyscotty Link
4. Score 696, GPU 7970, @1300/1800, CPU 3820 @5.1, Geeman1979 Link
5. Score 672, GPU 770, @1306/2001, CPU 2600k @4.7, whyscotty Link
6. Score 667, GPU 7970, @1270/1700, CPU 3960X @4.2, Geeman1979 Link
7. Score 586, GPU 7970, @1095/1425, CPU 3770k @4.1, MeatLoaf Link

The best HD 7970 here would have to be nearly 65% faster to catch the best Titan
