Its a good CPU, they just have to iron out quiet a few things.I've gone a little mad. Was meant to be a budget build with a 3600, as an upgrade from my old 4690K, but have instead gone for the 3700X and an X570 Gaming X. It all arrived today, so the build shall start as soon as I'm home.
Don't expect much, if any, of an overclock. This is my first ever AMD build though. Certainly couldn't resist seeing the benchmarks compared to Intel.

Loads have changed on my setting i was using when started with my zen1 and Zen+ experience. Especially on resistances of memory imc ect.Yup.
I think I'm with you there, which ones are you trying to tighten? I think I'm 16,16,16,16 32,50 at the moment 3600mhz.My issue is my setup just flat out refuses faster timings at 3600MHz. I've tried everything.
But will keep trying.

Have you has luck with 3800?

A delicate princess she isFrom what I’ve tested there is really quite negligible differences last that point. If you increase FCLK then you get a jump in some areas but mostly on benchmarks for example minimal difference.
Try 3733, mine preferred it to 3800 You can probably manage 14-16-16-16 with the same settings also at 3600 if anything like mine. It’s a fun game, I have missed being on the princess that is Ryzen
Mine got delivered today. Not had opportunity to open it yet, but knowing my luck it'll be a clusterduck. Thanks, I'm new to all this. I'll keep it bookmarked for the future.
On a side note, Who was it that purchased the X570 Asus Tuf gaming? How are you finding it? Any good?
Tempted to switch my 2700x for a 3900x, however:
A) I only have a 980
B) I only have a gigabyte aorus b450 micro atx, so not sure how it’d cope
Just a question : other than benchmark nbrs what is the real benefit u get going from ddr4 3200cl16 to 3600cl14 for example, is it even noticeable in games/apolocations etc.. anything other than benchmark?
