AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...3600mhz-dual-channel-kit-black-my-08q-tg.html

Increased price from 150 to 170 on Monday.

On Wednesday made a discount of 8% making the price 156.

I know ocuk is doing all of this for a profit as any business should and the ram is good and worth the money but I think there are laws against this type of behaviour, whereby retailers jack up the price just so they can then say that the items is selling with discount.

looks like retailers taking advantage of new release and increasing memory and motherboard prices

Seen X570 Taichi listed for £249 elsewhere, been pulled now though, but as for comments its VRM is worse than others, its better than most other mobos VRM's and i think only bettered really by the ultra high end crazy tier stuff.

There are laws in place. Higher price must have been in place for 28 consecutive days within the last 6 months in order for a merchant to be able to claim it as a genuine sale. Not that the Advertising Standards Agency every does anything in good time about such BS. How many perpetual closing down sales do you see on your local High Street?
Retailers get away with all manner of dubious stuff.

OOPS ocuk. lol

That Taichi board is really quite nice. Really looking forward to some benchmarks showing 3700X Vs. 8700K
My heart wants AMD to be better but my wallet is screaming my Intel is fine.

IMO, retailers should be forced to display price history for products. The tree place has price history, which is why it is my first point of call when buying anything. Even if they aren't the cheapest, the price history will let you know how good the value is that you get elsewhere.

I ordered some this morning for £170

X570 Taichi is T-topology RAM not daisy chain. Which is much better suited to 4 sticks. It's optimised for that. Most "gamers" I assume will be running 2 sticks of RAM. Initially anyway.
Alas, I take cues from @8 Pack . If he says the mem speed on 2 stick Taichi is good then I'll take that.
