AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Already shipped.

My condolences.

If you're a risk taker you can refuse delivery and should get a refund in full but don't quote me on that.

Edit: Actually I recall having similar issue, they shipped something but I already decided I do not want it. They just told the delivery guy to not bother delivering it. I got a full refund (but the shipping was free anyway as I am a forum member).

This kind of comparison annoys me. They aren't even "same" tier products. Like comparing an older i5 to a newer i7.

I'm waiting for someone to upload a 3800X with tight 3200 timmings so I can compare, also thats my machine!

Just nice to see what my options are, not sure why that would annoy anybody tbh

Here is the 1800 vs 3800 1065 vs 1600 mem https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/compare/13567135?baseline=13757359

This must be the most hyped CPU launch we've ever had, probably because is the first time we have no idea what the CPUs can actually do compared to the competition (at least in gaming).

I think it also has to do with the fact that it seems that AMD has really put in work when they developed Zen 2, and it wasn't just the + version of the ++++ that was already out. Also the fact that its the first 7nm CPU available for consumers. That is my opinion at least.

taichi x570 with 12 phases and 3 PCie 4.0 slots and 3x m.2 pcie 4.0 ... $250... more like $350

prices actually listed yet and AMD have lock and key under pricing being listed or pre-orders till the 7th

$229 would make it £190... yeah- aint gonna happen

Would help if you read the whole post!

It's $249, which is £198+ VAT is ~£240 give or take. Pricing is from ASRock.

I think that while this is indeed a major hyped launch one of the other things to consider is this is the first time we have seen this technology in action (chiplets) and the major improvements in performance this can bring. Couple if with the first 7nm x86 cpu and AMDs general comeback and well... biggie.

Doesn't help the exchange rate is absolutely rank rotten at the moment. Alas my company is paid in dollars so I'm winning big. Bring on more brexit disruption and uncertainty! :D:p

That sounds very tempting for the price. I got a CH7 recently for £250 which has 10 60A phases, the X570 Taichi has 12 50A phases. Technically the VRM should perform very similar, so if it does cost around £250 as well I will be making the change.
