The inconsistency between the big review sites who all received identical hardware from AMD leads me to believe that things they did on their side affected the results, they should have all be exactly the same really. Wonder how many of them for instance actually did a fresh windows install for each hardware configuration.
 
I put this in a thread in the motherboard section, but I'll put it here too - possibly a red herring but thought it might be of interest:

GamersNexus have a video on the VRMs in the Asus Hero board, interesting it he points out the 2 phase VRMs for memory. From what I can see this board and the TaiChi are the only ones that are 2 phase, possibly explaining why they seem to be the best with regards to memory speed?

Does anyone know whats going on with the motherboard situation? Theres no ETA for the Crosshair on the website and I can't get through to the store. Nobody seems to be replying to order inquiries on the forums either...
I'd like to know how long its going to take to get my order dispatched, as I may just cancel and get a GTX1080 instead.
 
if its mid next week then thats ok I guess. Still a little miffed that mine didn't get dispatched yesterday even though I placed my preorder less than an hour after they went live.... such is life though.

Spoke to OC earlier today and they said just 16 Crosshairs coming today. Like you @Loque I preordered as soon as I got the notification on the 22nd but mine has not been despatched. Make sure you call and upgrade to Saturday delivery in the hope yours is despatched today.

I did exactly that, the board I'm waiting for should be arriving today, so my Saturday plan is still in full force

both Gaming 5/k7 have same as ASUS hero 8+4 phase count, but unsure how many for Memory for Gigabyte boards . will find out
