i get about 35fps with everyithing at max with AA-And bloom but no HDR though. Its very playble still but i would like to play it with nearly double fps.

Aye, AA+HDR plus everything max really does hammer any card out there! There's no other game that i can't run silky smooth though.

INI tweaks really do help with Oblivion

I found buying a x1900xtx helped my framrate

Right yesturday i joined the dark brother hood and ive done quite a few quest which ive found hard as you got to be stealthy to get the bonus items which i have done them all so far.
Ive completed all the contracts asked by that vampire bloke who would turn me into a vampire if i want, but im not sure whats so good about being a vampire?
Anyway the mission im stuck on is to replace some dudes medicine with poision it takes place in a fort. But when i get in just round the corner is a guard and i cant get past him without failing my bonus item.
My steath attribute is 24

so what should i do and is there a bloke somewhere where i can buy training to add stealth points.

Also whats this i hear about bows doing stealth kills i currently own a nice bow but never used it as im a sword fighter.

It is possible to stealth past the guards to replace the medicine, maybe wait until his back is towards you or otherwise just kill him and forget about the bonus.

These are the stealth trainers:
Sneak Training
Low Level Trainers: City-Swimmer located above S’krivva’s just southwest of Bravil City Gate and Glistel located in the southwest corner of Chorrol
Medium Level Trainers: Othrelos located in northeast part of Imperial City’s Elven Garden District and Mirabelle Money located at the boarding house at Anvil Waterfront.
Master Level Trainers: Marana Rian northwest part of the Temple District

Stealth damage multipliers are hits you do when you are undetected, at novice level a bow does 2x damage and a blade/Blunt/H2H kill is 4x, at higher level this is 3x and 6x

I think you also have to be in sneak mode (crtl) in order to get a sneak kill

I've got everything maxed 1600x1200 inc +HDR 4xAA/16xHQAF.... The fps very rarely drop so far that i can notice it... I decided not to have the fps diplayed as it'll drive you mad looking at it !

I dont know if i have the AA enabled with HDR, im using the chuck pacth for the 6.5 drivers however the only way i know if AA is on is when i cast chameleon on myself in AA you cant see your character, theres no outline at all, but when i enable it in the CCC i can still see the outline

I can tell bigtime, if i don't have AA enabled then the jaggies around the character are really noticeable especially on the sword .

It's actually easy to train stealth, and you don't even need to be at the computer. You need to be in sneak mode, and within range of an NPC, but you do NOT need to be in line of sight - so you can sneak safely hidden around a corner or behind a wall. This is where Fin Gleam comes in useful, or anything else with Detect Life. Basically you just take your boots off (it's easy for novices to sneak this way), point yourself at an angle in a wall, and hit the Q button to keep walking (and walk rather than run!). Check that your sneak is actually going up, save the game, then go out for an hour. Come back and check your new stat.

I picked this up the other day to see what the fuss was about.. man, its goood!

I wasn't really sure what to go for stat-wise but I'm a lv 5 Redguard with a warrior birthsign. Stealing and generally being a theivin git has grown on me so I started doing all the thieves guild stuff. Nice tip on the sneaking, got me up to speed for a lot of the quests.

I'm only on a 9800XT so the frame rate drops down to ~15 with a lot on screen from a 'usual' 30-40 fps.

Canvas the Castle quest ****spoiler regarding this quest****

I have done this quest a long time ago and chose not to report Chanel so she would make a painting I can pick up in three weeks but when I return well after three weeks I can't find her, where is she or do I have to pick up the painting elsewhere?

Is there no marker on your compass for it mate?

No, the quest is completed as soon as I told the countess, after speaking with Chanel she told me I could pick up the painting in three weeks and that was two weeks ago (real weeks) so the three weeks (game time) have definately passed.

But I haven't tried to activate the completed quest and see if that gets a marker added.

She could have suffered one of those random death bugs.
I had that happen to the guy you buy the house off in skingrad. I think he fell off the bridge while walking into town :/

That wasnt random, after selling his house to you at a loss he got depressed and jumped off the bridge

That could explain it, she is nowhere to be found in the castle.

I really enjoy this game

I like to hit the guard so they get made and try to take my good then when I say "no", they get of their horse to hit me and I mount their horse and escape.
