That wasnt random, after selling his house to you at a loss he got depressed and jumped off the bridge :D
I never managed to buy the house though.

He died before I got round to it!

Try just inside the front gate of the town. I dont think she hangs around the castle any more.
That is a good point, I always fast travel to the castle but I will look elsewhere.

Another small question, heavy and light armour is leveled up by getting hit while wearing the armour, but is it purely the number of hits or does the strength of the hit matter?

Pretty sure its the number of times, easy way to level up is get suited with the armour of choice, find a rat or mudcrab and let him hit you. use restore magic to boost that one too.

I thought about doing that but wasn't sure if the hits counted or the damage.

I need to level this as the encumbrance is quite high.

Ive just been to about my 8th oblivion gate and in there was a demon knight dude who didnt want to fight me just wanted to talk?
He didnt say much but i did kill him and he had a very nice reflect ring.

Does anyone know of any mods for the game to extend/enhance gameplay?

Everything is done and i'm just wondering if its worth keeping, or trading it in for something else.

I still haven't had chance to play this game for around 2 months, game still crashes after the bethesda into screen. Will have to reformat. :(

Regarding the main quest *possible spoiler question*

I remember reading something abut the oblvion gates and not being able to do them or something after you show some guards how to close one - can someone tell me what actually happens - im 150 hours in now and getting bored so am doing the main quest before moving on...

Heres something I didn't know..
I was sneaking around and I pressed space on somebody and before I knew it was pick-pocketing them :D

I got quite a few good things too :P

I found the "female dog" walking around in Chorrol and she finally gave me the painting

Another thing, I am at level 16 and the game is pretty easy when I do sidequests and clear out Forts etc. but I have only recently started the main quest and I am seriously getting my butt kicked inside Oblivion gates even though I have my Blade and strength >100 and am using Umbra with Ebony Armour :(

Can it be that the game is harder at level 16 than at a lower level inside Oblivion gates?

Yes according to what i have read. Although the world scales to your level (which i think it totally wrong and removes the sense that your character is growing in power) the gates are a lot harder between levels 10-20 i think it was. Either side of that and they are quite do-able.

The thing I don't understand is what else is there for me to level, my strength and blade are already at >100 or does >100 mean even more power or is 100 the max

Anyway looks like I will be doing some more sidequests.

There are the official mods from Bethseda, which add in more quests and stuff. The Orrery and a Mage's Tower are the two that spring to mind. Oh, they've just added a new one - Mehrunes Razor. Oblivion Downloads R Us

Haven't tried them myself yet.

Enjoy,

TFG

Yeah when I've finished the game I'll buy them I think. The only one I may not buy is the hourse armour one as it dosn't seem too important for the price.

I believe 100 is the max you can reach without using items to boost it higher. There are ways of reducing some of your stats by spending time in jail but i am not too sure on how that works meself.

What level are you?

I'm only level 10, Grey Fox, Arena Champion, Arch Mage, Fighter Guild Master and Listener in the Dark Brotherhood. Havent touched the main quest yet.
