I have a glass short sword and glass dagger (and a load of other glass weapons), but i've done all the dark brother hood's quests and no longsword :(

spoilerish (well not technically for you since you've done the quest, but it contains where the sword is)

Try going back to the Dark Brotherhoods hide out, and look at the Vampires body he was carrying a glass longsword for me.

spoilerm aybe

No nikebee... not for me, he was carrying a magic elven longsword. :( But that kicks ass. Cuts through enemies like butter. Was just trying to collect all types of weapons, like all silver, iron, glass etc etc.. Thanks anyhoo.

gah... that sucks, must be random as to what they carry then.
glad i've got one, it was one of my favourite weapons in Morrowind... although i can't help but thing i've got it very early in the game

good weapons seem to come very early.

i think i'm.... level 10? so shouldn't be getting stuff this quickly.

I'm level 12, and have tonnes of magical powerfull weapons, ive got a glass axe, with magical power, with an attack power of 14  So yes i think the weapons are coming early..

Another question.:p

I chose the souls catcher mage staff as an easy way to fill empty soul gems but no matter who or what I kill I just get the same message, something like "there is not soul gem large enough to capture the soul", weird as I have about a dozen soul gems ranging from lesser to grand, any ideas?

Got game and just realised that my gfx card is not supported (ATI Raeon 9250 - please dont laugh !!).

Looks like and upgrade is in option when the Student Loan comes through!!

No eating for a week !!

i think its is going to be the one downfall with the game as far as i can see...
i'm all for having good weapons early in a game... but when you get weapons that are pretty damn near the best weapons in the game (which the glass ones are... i believe only the Daedric ones {which are pretty heavy} and the Goldbrand sword are better) it puts the sense of accomplishment out of gaining the good weapons.

took me an absolute age to get the Glass armor/weapons in Morrowind, and the Daedric ones too... you had a real sense of accomplishment and you felt proud you'd got them after spending so long playing the game.

hopefully the vast amounts of quests/sub quests etc... are enough to keep you going... but theres not much to gain once you've already got the best weapons... apart from levelling up.

There has to be more weapons in this game though? I've found mythrill armour etc, but no weapons as of yet. I found the first glass item at the level of 9. :/ so if they are almost the most powerfull weapons i dont see a lot more to work for.. apart from complete the main quest i guess. I've aquired most of the glass weapons apart from longsword. And mace. Hmm...has to be more types :/

as far as i can tell mate there isn't...

if you want, i'll post the code to be transported to the testing rooms, where all the weapons(/armor/books/vegitation/items etc) are?

in Morrowind the testing rooms had everything that was in the game, there wasn't anything extra... if it wasn't in one of the testing rooms... it didn't exist.
doubt the case has changed since Morrowind.

only things in the weapons testing rooms better than the glass ones are the Daedric (but much heavier than the glass) and the very "uber" weapons that only have one type... i.e. the Goldbrand (is only a sword, there is no sheild/axe/shortsword/claymore)... and from memory the Goldbrand only has 16 for damage... 2 more than a glass longsword :-/

let me know if you want me to post the code, it'll be put in the regular spoiler colours :)

Can anyone give me some hints as to how/where to get some decent weapons. I've been following the main quest really and i'm level 5 with still a steel claymore! I want one of the Blade's Katanas!

oooh yes forgot about that one will look for it now :o

I'm struggleing with the Kvatch mission after the gate, I'm level 17 with ork armor and dremora shield and long sword/two handed sword. Surely I shouldnt be struggleing with this side quest at this level? They all just pile and kill me. Any suggestions or do I need to do yet more leveling.

aah the Umbra looks cool, all black sword (glows purple when charged)

does soul trap on your target, and does damage of 17... so i lied, so the Umbra is actually the most powerful sword.
