An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

Had a weird moment last night.

I recently completed the Corrupt Imperial Watch quest and thought it was all over. Last night I went to a shop to flog some stuff but got there too late. Thought I'd wait outside, but my wait was interrupted by the guy I'd stuck away - he started attacking me. A nearby guard came to help, but after killing the guy he started attacking me! I ran round the corner to be faced by another guard, who promptly shot an arrow at the first guard. Then about 5 imperial watch appeared running from various streets and proceeded to beat the hell out of each other

Hehe now that's what I call Radiant :D :D

I think I have come to kvatch to early.

I won a few battles at the arena ,Had a gamble picked up a few quests and before I knew it kvatch.

Gonna head on back I think and look for more places to explore.I know I shouldn't be at Kvatch yet.

Bit eager I think.

Will delete those saved games and head on back to the imperial city.

I had the same problem with the horse as the poster above, where I accidently slashed it and it proceeded to attack me. I ended up attacking it to the point of death where it eventually ran off of its own accord! :D

Went back to the priory where I got it for free and when i took another one I was accused of stealing.....its not like I could explain what had happened ffs! :o Took the new horse anyway and am awaiting said flak unless I dump it outside of a city!

<----- brand new to Oblivion but enjoying it

so I've now come to the conclusion that being a thief is useless if you want to complete the main quest as I just can't kill anything without taking a severe battering. I've had numerous fights with numerous creatures, using block, but they all seem so much stronger. I've had to resort to getting the dungeon goblins to chase me out and relying on a patrolling guard to do the work for me :p. I can, however, break into people houses and steal their goodies.

Before I restart and create a combat character, can I rapidly increase my comabt skill by joining the fighters guild or fighting in the arena?

Yeah, I am a thief and in fighters and mage guild. I still get hoofed around though :p

I completed the arena in one go, and after that I went to get on my horse outside the gates and it was a red horse shoe?!?! Is it down to a possible bug? or does your horses lose its ownership over a certain period of non usage?

Think I rushed the 'tutorial' part as I missed reading the fast travel bit - how does it work?

Although I'm enjoying wondering the countryside - much fun to be had.

Just click to where you want to go on the map, You can go to any town or fort/cave etc that you stumble across, as you discover things they will appear on you world map. occasionally you will be a quest that adds something to this map, these cannot be fast travelled to unless you have visited them already.

I'd check all the other city gates and any local stables if there is one, only then would I put it down to a bug or having wandered off, been eaten etc.
I've lost a couple of horses now that have dissapeared somehow. I've also seen quite a few horses left outside of gates as if there's 5 people playing my game. Yesterday there were two horses having a fight outside of Chorrol all on their own.

LOL! :D, my horse is still there but its as if i'm stealing it!! I'll check the stables then. Its just weird as its the same horse that I left at the gates when entering town.

Just thought I'd let you guys know an online store is selling Morrowind for £2.99 delivered if anyone is interested. :)

Anyone else struggling with the main quest? I'm level 15, just done the first Oblivion gate.

I'm now up against enemies which kill me in a few hits, and I've got to take on 5+ of them simulataneously? How am I supposed to take these on?

*SPOILER*

Umbra's sword and armour, Viselage, SW of imperial city, helps if you have the fire sword off a bandit in one of those church ruin things or if you have the elf sword from the arena. She doesn't like being attacked for no reason but ya gotta do whatcha gotta do

Woo wooo I hid it in the font colour #1C5780 :D

I've managed to join the Thief's Guild (while trying to bust this Grey fox bloke) without intending to really :D Cracking fun though. Currently got the Arena quest on the go too, and well as a couple of others.

Any tips on making money from anyone? I'm Skint!

I'm a lvl 2 warrior.
