I'd recommend a bow/marksman style assassin. You can usually attack and kill an enemy without being seen, plus you're getting x3 damage for each hit. You can literally just sit back in the shadows and take out an entire room of mobs without being noticed/attacked.

With daggers on the other hand, you get a higher damage multiplier for the stealth attack, but the enemy will notice you after the initial strike.

I got another question, not really important but I'm curious :)

I've seen a few people say when they get off their horses it sometimes walks away :confused: Can you tie it up or something?
 
That's only if the horse is stolen AFAIK. I received a steed as a quest reward and it pretty much follows me everywhere I go. For example, if I fast travel to a town, my horse waits outside the city gates or at the stable if there is one present.
 
Im currently a lvl 7 warrior and today ive just cleared out a mine, and through that ive moved up a level and so i now need to sleep, but when i go to an inn r something and buy a room it keeps saying i cant sleep with enemies near by and i cant fasr travel either so i had to run from the mine to the inn, they is no enemies near me! what can i do to sort this out, ive tried quitting the game and loading it again but its the same.

There will be someone following you or attacking your horse! Just wait for a while in a city near some guards, and they will get their asses handed to them. I've never had it happen to me, but a fair few folk have.
 
I've installed the game and am currently working through the cave :) So far it seems excellent. I'm liking the combat system and the graphics are lovely! I've got one question so far. I'm sure many more are to come though lol! If I was to choose a thief type character, how good are they at handling groups of enemies? There might be sometimes I can't stealthy kill a group and need to get in there face-to-face and I'll be screwed. So what do you guys think? :)

Im a theif and I became Arena grand champion pretty easy, although I do use the Bow mostly. Not ad any real trouble so far, you can take out like 3 people if you run around in circles, shooting arrows at em and healing yourself.

Glad I'm not the only one jumping around like a loon with a bow :D :D

Once got chased by three trolls for about a day and a half game time :D
 
im playing as a thief type, if im spotted after a sneak arrow hit i poisen my shortsword with damage health and get in a few hits, then stick up the sheild and wait for the poisen to kill em. another way after getting my staff of paralasis is to zapp them with that and just hack away at them on the floor hehehe
