Archery

Nice one, I shot windsor last outdoor season because I hadn't been shooting for long and my best score that I can still find was 770.

Where do you shoot?

I shoot at Anchor Bowmen Derby, it's our 50th Anniversary this year.

Dang, 770 I still have some way to go. You are definitely right with the KSL shoot cycle the various books I have all mention the same setup routine.

Lets hope the weather stays off for Sunday it's a full FITA

Yes mate, 41lbs on the fingers with ACCs

Been playing around with my grip over the weekend and got caught on the elbow ouch !!!

Both the Mrs and I went for some coaching at Merlin last week for little help with our equipment and ensure we had the basics in the right place

Nice, I'm pulling about the same.

Grip is a difficult thing to master. I bought a jager grip and its helping.

Merlin ****ed me off recently so if i can help it they are not getting anymore of my money.

Sorry to hear about Merlin, I really have had great experience with them either via mail order or in person but everyone can slip up. I had an issue with Chiltern Archery, the gits sent me the wrong quiver and then when their courier came to collect and return they say received it damaged and took £10 off the refund. It was their packaging and courier - I just didn't want the hassle.

I'm using a wrist sling as I find the find the finger slings a little too restrictive

Perris archery are being awesome atm.

Merlin I bought a £500 riser of them and then they wanted to charge me £8 for an clicker extender. Perris sent it to me for free and I haven't made any orders with them. Merlin have got too big, takes them over 48 hours to respond to an email. Just lost the personal touch really.

I think you maybe right they have moved to new premises and noticed there are a few new faces mainly in their warehouse.

Don't think I'll be upgrading from my SF Forged + for at least another year only have had it since December. Really like the Win&Win Inno CXT carbon job, I would like to go that way if I keep improving

That's a good riser. I have an orange inno cxt but was upgrading from a 10+ year old kg bow.

I've seen the pics in the thread, it's sweet.

My bow is black and have purple accessories; string, fletches, quiver, arm guard etc. I'll post some pics up once I have worked out how.

I have tried bows of fellow shooters and the full carbon setups have such a smooth draw - I'm so tempted

The MyBo stuff is very nice. The compound sight looks like a good bit of kit, but recently discovered C.B.E sights. Next on my list of things i want along with a MAC 10 scope. You recurve guys get it easy with sights.

Im waiting for this:

Hoping its going to be a cheaper titan scope style thing but in ORANGE!!!

Edit: that explains stuff lol: "MYBO is a divsion of Merlin Archery Ltd."

Probably the cost :p

Im looking to eventually get a black/orange setup myself - doesnt help that my limbs are still white - not good enough to need carbon limbs yet!

ps3ud0

I was thinking the compound shooters and their sights had it easier than recurvers. The longbowers have it hardest IMHO given they either use a O ring or their knuckles to sight.

I've seen the Mybo stuff at merlin it does look good, their stabilisers feel well made sturdy and light Mrs is looking for a set in blue.

I would be guessing they are replacing MAC with myBO, I must admit that it's good to see a archery shop selling stuff that it makes itself rather than jumping on the sponsorship bandwagon.

Funny thing is, I wanted the MAC long rod set up for mine & my lads bows. Merlin quoted 5-10days, Alternative Sports did the MAC stuff next day!!
I do like the look of the MyBo kit, must be all the bright colours, but fitted to a bow that's painted in camouflage looks a bit daft.
Next compound will be brightly coloured.

LOL, we all must be magpies love the shiny stuff.

It's a shame about Merlin, they are only 30-40 mins away from me so I just turn up to the counter. If I need anything mail order I do shop around although Merlin are offering a price match. For me I just want to build a rapport with a supplier so I don't get ripped off of get the wrong advice.
