Assassin's Creed IV- Black Flag

I finally completed this game yesterday, by the end it just got to be a chore IMO.
The naval combat is fun for a while but its far to easy. It also has to many of the problems of the previous games i.e. boring repetitive eavesdropping missions, poor combat mechanics and so on.

Think I am franchise fatigued with AC now, Just wish AC4 was a little more 'Black flag' and a bit less AC.

If Ubi made a new pirate themed ip and put AC on ice for 3 years I think that would be cool.

Tend to echo that sentiment. I haven't played AC1-3 but I still felt burnt out by the end of AC4. It just got a bit too repetitive and once you beat the legendary ships the naval combat becomes stale. There's no motivation to grind chests for the ship parts as you simply don't need them.

Also no motivation to go around getting on and off the ship 200 times just to pick up all the fragments and chests. Balls to that.

By the end of the game I was just fast travelling everywhere :\
I agree on the whole series fatigue though, I would have liked more AC personally though, but I have mixed feelings about AC4. Say as much as you want about BH and Revelations, they told more to the AC lore and modern day story then AC4 did... AC4 in no way deserved to be a numbered title imo and should have been a spin off game :\
In fact AC4 gave me the impression that they don't even know where they're going with the series any more in terms of story and partly gameplay.

Also in a recent survey that I got emailed to me (I think through uplay they detect who has completed the game and email it to them?), there was a question if you'd like to see a separate IP purely for pirating etc, so they're defo thinking about it I guess... rather they fix AC though.

I'm probably half way through and love what I've seen so far.

One thing that does annoy me though are the 'missions' outside Animus. They bore the hell out of me and feel out of place compared to the rest of the game.

Anyone installed a new OS to then find your cloud saves have magically gone?

Anyone got a solution for this? I'd like to carry on the game.... not starting it again tho.

Whats really annoying me about this friggin game is uplay. Last 48hrs its been down twice. Its down now. I can use offline mode but I noticed last time you cant use the fleet in the cabin because uplay is down ! So what does the game need to have uplay up just to send a few ships off.

Got patched again FPS are still borked a bit with Physx but much better FPS than before still slowing down even on a GTX780Ti it stutters a lot  I cannot begin to imagine what GPU(s) this needs for max details & no stuttering

It's just very poorly coded. Not running well on a 780 is just unacceptable and more of the usual UBi poorly ported tosh....
Gfx are superb in places though the water especially but when you consider how many people made this game & the scientists who worked on the water FX the budget is mind boggling yet they cannot make a decent game its very disjointed & uninvolving overall :(

I completed this last night and have to say I really enjoyed it. Some of the missions where a pain but overall I had fun.

Definitely think Ubisoft should make a pirate game.
