Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Just beat Medusa on first attempt. Another well designed boss. I heard horror stories but actually found it the easiest of the mythical creatures. Minotaur was a lot harder for me. I've liked everything about the whole Isu part of the game tbh.

Looks like they are changing in the end of the dlc. Gonna add a new cutscene and choices to placate the people who moaned.

Shock- people are now moaning about that!

I could not care less.

I completed the Atlantis storyline yesterday. I was satisfied, but I hope they tweak that just a little too. My main thought about that ending -
I thought Kassandra turning up was an awesome moment, but her death was a bit weak.

My main question was... Where was she during the events of the other games! So much potential.

Having played up to the final part but not completed I'm just going around killing all the mercs, I'm not sure how many will keep spawning but my stats show I've killed 521 Mercenaries but that can't be right .
I have however killed a heck of a lot including numerous above my level (65) by using the Mallet of Everlasting Flame whilst on horseback, just keep circling close and swiping at them and it takes most of them down before they can knock you off the horse :p and if they do they will be considerably weakened so I just press the button to go into a rage and flatten them along with chaining anyone else close by who joins in.

Yeah it was pretty fun fight, although easy and formulaic. Did it yesterday.

I have 112 hours and finished everything. Every main quest, all cultists, all sidequests except two that were so insultingly fillery I refused them.

8/10, fun game but seriously suffering from bloatware/fillerware and with some systems that required lot more thought and work put into them (the whole levelling/scaling/itemization, the mercenaries, exploration mode...everything is halfcooked).

I still maintain that if they cut the world size in half and focused on making every quest more meaningful, and eliminated so much of the filler and asset reuse, it could have been a new classic. Maybe next time.

Anybody got any tips on helping performance with regards to graphics options on this? I'm getting roughly 58 fps with a 980ti at 1440p. Graphics between medium and high. Any settings that are abit of a fps killer?

Clouds, fog and depth of field are the heavy hitters. Hardware did a solid video on it all but that is the TLDR of it.

Hunting down the final cultists now. Finding one very difficult to... Well, find!

I'm liking the Pirate set as my main, then the Spartan Hero set for combat. One thing I've seen on the Ubisoft forum is a lot of people asking for the ability to switch between builds, so I imagine we can expect that to be added in the next update.

I also started the dlc, which seems pretty good so far, but probably should have waited til I'd finished all of the main stories.

Came very close to karate chopping my keyboard and launching my mouse through a window last night at the 30th attempt to kill the legendary Erymanthian boar, I know how to kill him and the tactics to use but my god, as soon as I get it down to it's last 20% of health it seems to aimbot it's way to my position everytime and the dodges are becoming an absolute headache to time.

I feel I need to take the easy option, level up a bit and then come back. He's currently 47 to my 49.

Unless you change the difficulty to Easy, it'll stay two levels below your level. I think enemies are up to four levels below yours on Easy.

EDIT: 90 hours in, Level 48, and I still haven't progressed further in the main story HAHA!

I've activated and upgraded the 'second wind' skill which gives me a 50% health boost when recharged and is a life saver in many situations. It recharges like some of the other skills so can be activated several times if you survive long enough

This game continues to amaze me, nearing the end of the story I spent hours enjoying getting my wanted level X5 and using hit & run techniques to kill mercenaries who sometimes appeared fivel at once.
I was in the area where you meet your Mother and the final boss fight with Deimos so I decided to play it.
During the fight I noticed three mercenaries show up and begin to enter the fight area where it's impossible for me to escape so I rapidly got killed. Respawning meant starting again where you meet your Mother and follow her so I ignored that and looked on the map for mercenaries close by but there were non, I then followed her to the meeting with Deimos ,fast forwarded the dialogue to start the fight and those blasted mercenaries appeared again and I had no chance against 4 of them.
Has anyone else had this occur? I've abandoned trying it for now & do a bit more mercenary revenge killing and get my wanted level to zero and try again.

i didn;t have that but if your wanted level are red they will show up at some point. try paying it off before entering the final scene.

Ah ok, so leveling makes no difference, hmmm...I really don't want to change to easy as it'll feel like i've cheated myself, guess i'll persist.

I have second wind but only at level 2, i've noticed at level 3 it also removes poison effects which i think is crucial with this boar and it's fart AOE attacks. I think once I break Lv 50, i'll throw the point onto level 3 second wind.

I haven't raged at a game this hard in many many years but having read a few guides, it seems this is one of the tougher boss battles in the game.
